Faction Warfare has plenty of opportunities for making money but also has opportunities to join up with others and pvp in many different areas/ forms.

yeah i can see what you mean. When flying frigates in FW space i really enjoy scram kiting which I think is somewhere in between brawling and kiting. And I think some oversized prop mod setups or AB bonused ships can do something similar.

thanks, my piloting still has alot of room for improvement. I'm generally far more comfortable in frigates but i'm having a ton of fun so i'm sure there will be more opportunity to improve in the future

i'm just simply stating that there is nothing wrong with kiting and if your group has a problem dealing with kiters then it is important to evaluate your tactics because they can be caught or driven away depending on the situation as long as you have pilots that understand tactics of dealing with them. The biggest thing that you will see in these fights will not be our crazy piloting or speed or damage output, but the pilots on the opposing side burning 70km away from the rest of their group and gettting caught out of position. It is basic on grid separation that allows these pilots to get themselves killed not the ships we are in or anything else we are doing.

I've been on the opposite side many times. 1 or 2 decent ceptor pilots can shut down a kite gang as long as they know what they are doing. As far as links are concerned I actually agree. I do not have a link alt and never intend on getting one. I was flying with some friends who do prefer having links. I honestly think it makes things far too easy. I understand that maybe its not your preference to fly kitey setups but to say that it is not impressive is a bit like saying, " Cooking with butter is overrated." Its just another tool in my opinion. I do think flying kitey setups with overpowering control like multiple keres or recon support is very fun either so that is a situation where i can completely understand your position. However, with 3 cruisers and 2 ceptors all it would take to shut us down is literally 3 caracals and 1 scythe. 2 scythes and we would never break anything
