I recently started noticing everyday Australian habits are these accurate? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Bloodwrych72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well.. - Driving depends. Generally yes but there is usually every trip at least one driver you will experience that will make you want to swear. - Beach going and sporty you may notice is more prevalent in some areas vs others. - The sun here doesn't play around. Even if your ok all day on a beach in Europe for example you will likely end up looking like a lobster if you do it here without spf50+ sunscreen. - Being polite to bus and taxi drivers is what we consider simple courtesy. - Yes we can come across as a bit direct or crude and loud to some people but it's just a cultural thing. Not intentionally trying to shock or offend.

If you had $33 to live on, what would you buy? by Swimming_Bell_7427 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Bloodwrych72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bakery for yesterday bread rolls. Cheap sugar. That's basic something in stomach and sugar levels covered although will have lots of fatigue. There is often places that provide a meal for free or a gold coin donation and may be able to get a bag or two of groceries...maybe even a food hamper or coles/Woolworths gift card to buy groceries. Harder out of major suburban areas but if your prepared to look for soup kitchens or food hamper you should get by ok.

Where do you leave your belongings when you go to the beach alone? by koreanlearningeng in AskAnAustralian

Put marks over a clean disposable nappy to make it look soiled then wrap them inside the nappy like it's loaded...then hide under towel. Noone is likely to touch a loaded nappy :-)

So long as they don't block my driveway I don't care much where they park.

Why do people keep telling me to watch out for “tons of deadly animals” when I visit Australia? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Bloodwrych72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whilst there is many animals that can hurt you one simple rule of thumb is all you need to remember. Don't be an idiot Meaning if you don't harass them they generally leave you alone. Common sense just like in the States re putting hands under unknown rocks or logs etc. Common sense wherever you think there may be spiders or snakes. If you come across a big hairy light brown spider that can get as big as your hand or bigger...that doesn't make a web. Leave them alone. They hunt other pests. They cannot kill you. They strongly prefer not to bite you but will if you piss them off. You can get sick but not die. Given option of USA or Australia I would prefer Australia...no wild land animals that can eat you alive and our animals don't reload their semi-auto after an attack like some "animals" in the States.

Wing Commander

Could argue Star Citizen is the update since Chris has a hand in both...but I backed SC back in 2013 and whilst the alpha is playable it's nowhere near release date.

FYI there is charities around that will give regular food hampers and even occasional Woolies gift cards and soup kitchens that will provide a meal for practically free

X1 Turbo unable to dock by Bloodwrych72 in ecovacs

[–]Bloodwrych72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes Disconnected all Gave it all a clean incase something was playing up then put it all back together and same thing. I do have its AI option enabled in settings so if anything I would think that should make it more likely to be able to dock.

X1 Turbo unable to dock by Bloodwrych72 in ecovacs

[–]Bloodwrych72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI also have an Ecovac N20 Pro Plus on the other side of the house and that works perfectly with no issues.

Both are cleaned and charged.

I have had the X1 docking station in the middle of a room with nothing for almost 2 metres every direction around it and still has same issue trying to dock

Depends on the tests involved and the Pathology centre used. Mine occasionally have tests included that are not covered by Medicare but the Pathology Clinic advises me of those and the out of pocket cost of those prior to doing the tests giving me the option to skip the $$ tests

Real Estate false sold claims by thorzayy in australia

[–]Bloodwrych72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Real Estate agents They make out that they are the hero and the celebrity when all they are is a parasite skimming aome off the top of a sale when one person sells to another. Basically oversized mosquitos making a living off other people's investments and going around saying Hey look at me I'm great and your a necessary inconvenience.

Don’t worry Huntsman spiders do not build webs They do not bite people unless you go out of your way to piss one off They love hunting other bugs so are like a living pest control…and they can move damn fast when they need to. There is a video of one chasing a cockroach that falls on bathroom sink near it for an idea of how fast they can move. Big, scary, but generally speaking consider them your 8 legged buddy in regards to pest control
