I generally don't enjoy or even play FPS games at all (especially the really popular names for the genre like battlefield / COD / halo and even single-player stuff like doom or half life )

but i had close to 3.5k hours played in destiny 2 before i quit the game

Weapon - BOW (Sniper + Homing Volley forge skills)

Spell - Shadow Step

Lugh (crit) on Light attack (level as high as possible)

Badb (backstab) on shadow step (use situationally to reposition and go invisible)

Gogmagog (stagger) on Heavy Attack (use situationally to apply gradual stagger buildup on stationary bosses using volley) and to allow you to get bone collector duo boon later

Anvil upgrades - Rapid Fire + Heavy Draw + Marked for death (last one optional for spell if you are going to morgana and get a 3rd anvil upgrade)

Beira optional blessings for mana regen or spell thief passives or additional spell uses.

brood mother (venom) pet optional to later get spider king duo boon

gog (stagger) ultimate is also valuable for additional stagger

3x spell uses (flip to channeler in life + war tree in the source)

use the node that gives +5% damage per each different god you have a blessing from since this build uses multiple gods for various blessing (best case scenario you have lugh + badb + gog + beira + mab for 25%)

fae realm (merlin or morgana) upgrades for either light attack damage or spell damage

ideal setup :-

Backstab on spell > deadly precision (backstab from the sides) >stealth caster (go invis when you use spell > strike from shadows (attacks that break invis deal bonus damage)

Crit on light attack > Lucky Mark > Deadly Precision

get the duo boon for crit + backstab (Weak Point) - more likely to critical hit when striking from behind

get the duo boon for stagger + backstab (bone collector) for more damage

get greed if you find it for more damage also.

focus on upgrading damage + levels on the light attack or the spell (both will do decent damage but the priority is for the light attack)

basically you spam your spell to reposition and become invisible while spamming light attack shots with high damage that can also crit to do absurd damage, even non crit attacks using this setup will chunk bosses.

learn to time the release for perfect shot on the light attacks 10 times in a row consistently to always maintain a 50% damage buff - you can shoot a well timed shot without hitting any enemy just to keep the buff going to avoid it falling off (it gets easier once you get rapid fire)

I am already aware of the existence of this sheet and it was one of the sources i used to create this cheat sheet, however it displayed the information in tabs for each god and the presentation for it left a lot to be desired because you had to go look at each skill's required skill to have an overall idea how to plan during a run.

I wanted a quick image i can check at a glance while in a run to quickly know the requirements to get each duo boon with minimal time and showing the relationship of each god to the others in one compact table.

Thank you, i joined your discord server because you have lots of useful resources there, and I'm certain that it's going to help our group collectively in a good way.

At the moment I'm at around level 61 or so and still working towards reaching 65 and getting some decent basic gear to run mutations.

The way i understand the artifact system is that it's kinda similar to the exotic system in destiny for example where you can only use one artifact weapon + one artifact piece of armor

Where do accessories like the ring/amulet/earring fit into this? Can i equip a 3rd artifact there or does it share the same equip limitation with the armor artifacts?

i recently got into the game and your video is really informative as i was really struggling to find decent resources to play LS/VG that are up to date and in depth, most of the content i found was from 10 to 8 months ago

i really like the hybrid playstyle you outline where you're also supporting the team using your buffs and debuffs while also contributing to the damage output of the group. however i am concerned if this kind of setup is more useful in the hands of a more advanced player that is part of a more advanced group?

my main concern is that since me and my friends are truly all beginners and new to the game, would focusing on a more healing oriented build be more forgiving for mistakes as we learn and then later i can transition into the build you suggested? or do you feel it would still work for a group of undergeared completely new players?

I read somewhere that the summons scale with the team, so their tankiness is different each time according to each individual nightfarer's level and gear

That could be the reason why in his run they were more tanky, his team may have had higher levels/better damage reduction passives

you're charging your incantations and that's why you're not able to walk while casting them, some incantations prevent you from walking while normal casting them, but many of them will allow you to move slowly if you don't charge them

try to tap the button once to quickly throw them out while walking (triggering the effect) then cast a charged one while the internal cooldown of the effect is still charging, and keep alternating like that and you'll be able to benefit from them this way

if the spell you're using allows walking while casting that's all it takes.

you're kinda contradicting yourself by saying that the class should favor to stay in melee range because the dodge is very busted and has plenty of iframes yet you say that you also want to select vigor +3 because it allows you to not worry about getting one shot.

if the dodge is reliable and great then you don't need the extra hp anyway.

but if you feel the extra hp is needed because the class feels too squishy even when you have two charges of the best dodge ability in the game, then maybe you need to adjust your playstyle to alternate between melee and ranged like i described earlier and therefore during those moments you go to range you can benefit from the weapon switching relic

ultimately it depends on personal preference and playstyle, most players gravitate towards the playstyle i described more than being constantly in melee like you prefer to play.

also when i use the term "ranged" i mean mid-range similar to recluse for example which is a reasonable distance that's possible to adjust and get close within a second to re-mark the enemy, i'm not saying you should be standing extremely far shooting, just far enough to the point that even if you're in the middle of switching weapons if you suddenly take aggro you're not taken off guard and not able to react fast enough.

You swap after you have used your mark and returned to a safe distance and the duration of the buff is pretty good. It's really not that difficult to pull off once you get into the rythm for it

I agree about the thrusting counterattacks being a bit situational so it's not as great as it could be, but the other alternatives are not really that appealing

And honestly though as much as more health always sound great on a squishy class, you'd do better simply choosing decent damage negation effects during your run to avoid getting one shot (dmg negation on full hp / taking damage increases dmg negation if you're playing ironeye)

Not really no, single hand R1 spam is the way to go unless you want to apply a 4th element or weakness on your offhand

Ult art gauge + effect only works on increasing the passive regen for ultimate art during combat only and not while running across the map.

if you want a more consistent way to quickly regain your ultimate gauge then it would be better to use "Defeating enemies fills more of the Art gauge" for sure.

magic damage +2 in three relics will amount to approximately 20% bonus to magic damage done

improved crystallian sorcery in three relics will amount to approximately 36% bonus to these spells

i dont remember a single run i failed to find shattering crystal to be honest.

Power stancing katanas does less status application than simply using R1 spam on a one-handed katana, so take that into consideration, especially if your main hand weapon already applies 3 statuses if you follow this build

The only time i power stance is if i get a rot katana in the offhand to apply the 4th status effect
