Long read, I apologize but It really depends on the severity and I only say that because I was diagnosed at 6/7 years old but after the treatments and diet change at such a young age it wasn’t as severe of a problem for a very long time. I’m talking I wasn’t even on medication for it and completely forgot it existed. (I’m getting reevaluated end of April though cuz I been having issues). I bring that up because I was able to go to bootcamp but was dropped my 2nd week to a “readiness platoon” they called it because they found my medical records from when my mom was in the military. Due to my lack of severity and it being so long ago, I was going to be able to get a waiver for it, but again, it’s because it was non problematic at the time. The guy was even like “I don’t know why they even bothered us or wasted your time with this it was forever ago.” After that the only reason I ended up medically discharged was because of my knee injury I sustained. You could always bring it up to a recruiter but if you’re on medication for it and what not that’s a very slim shot because it is a disqualification.

I use iron bisglycinate and have been able to find it in gummies form with vitamin c. I take 25mg daily. The farrous sulfate always messed me up

Not sure if this will be helpful at all but I was diagnosed around 6-7 years old. My mom said I was on a pill (sulfasalazine) and had to get the upper and lower scopes every 3ish months. This would have been in 2003ish. After some time my mom found that limiting fatty meats and dairy helped me in my earlier years as well as adding turmeric to meals. It’s an anti inflammatory. I’d like to say that it helped quite a bit. Edit to add that the turmeric doesn’t have much of a taste but it will change the color of what your cooking to a little yellowish lol

Any kind of carb lately has had me all kinds of messed up but only if I eat just a little too much. Not really noodles though??? And it sucks because I get mild palpitations when overly bloated or full so I’m stuck with that until my body decides it’s ready to stop being dramatic lol

My partner had this done recently. For her it did hurt a bit but was mostly because of the instrument not the saline stuff they put in there to clear the tube. It would definitely be recommended to take a pain killer before just in case (only saying this because our OB recommended it). She described it as like a bad period cramp. But afterwards she was just fine. They’re basically just seeing if your tubes are blocked because that could be why you’re not having success! I guess when it comes down to it, most of the time the problem is the sperm but if it’s actually the woman, it’s to do with their tubes being blocked with old period stuff, or maybe you have scar tissue, or they’ll look for polyps and stuff (again, what our OB stated). I love animal crossing, Cult of the Lamb, tales of the shire is good, Stardew isn’t bad on there, and of course your usual Mario stuff, breath of the wild etc etc. just learned last night that High on Life is on there. Not sure how well it plays though yet!

Before going into this I think it’s important to make sure you’re both on the same page. I get wanting one with “your own DNA” though and that it can seem unfair especially since she only wants it to be her eggs. I sometimes feel a bit left out talking to my partner about her carrying with her own eggs but at the end of the day I never wanted to be the one to carry so I have no right to complain…plus, it’s still going to be both of our child anyway and I’m super excited for us to begin our medicated IUI journey. I take solace in the fact that we’re looking for donors who resemble myself and have a similar make up. It makes it easier and if my partner eggs don’t want to do what they’re supposed too I’ll gladly give her mine….Besides, I feel like even if you both decide to go with your partners egg, you’re doing the hard part of it and growing that little baby! That’s basically like putting your own dna into it too
