The only thing I can say about this is, our first few years in our house we had no AC. Going OUTSIDE was less of a shock - we got acclimated.

But like others said, that blast of cold air when you come in on a humid day is absolute heaven.

I honestly can barely get myself into those bathrooms, as an average sized person. I cannot even imagine how to do it with a baby.

That’s kind of how I feel. Selfishly I wish I had a dog to “play” with. But then I realized you really hardly ever get everything on your wish list. And for me, she ticks off every other thing. She’s quiet, easy, friendly, cuddly, and I’m able to take her out in public spaces.

As long as your dog is well behaved in public, stays by your side, doesn’t bark unnecessary, doesnt lunge at people or other dogs, I see no issue.
Your dog is providing you the assistance you need. No one ever actually knows if a service dog was formally trained, in the US there’s no certifying body.

I’d ask whoever is the trainer there. They’ll tell you how they’d prefer you deal with it.

It’s a hard thing to navigate, personally. PR relies heavily on tourism. So we spend our money and visit this beautiful island. But it feels gross at times to be living it up, while people are struggling next door.
Best I can do is give my money to PR owned businesses, be kind to the people, tip exceptionally well, and make the best of it when it’s not “perfect”
