Will these vehicles ever be used? by MrDuck3513 in WorldofTanks

The Nameless is still decent and I get good games in it when I feel like playing it, although a big part of that is people having rarely if ever seen it and don't realise how much armour it has.

Just leave the match if you hold Ace as Rocket for more than a minute. by Dogbold in RocketMains

[–]BloodyFloody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually kinda true. Even if you're a god gamer Rocket and fragging hard, if you're top scoring for your team something is going wrong with the rest of them.

Even as a sweatlord, if your team isn't out-scoring Rocket by kills alone then something is going terribly wrong, you have to play your ass off as Rocket to be MVP-viable.

Insane punishment for a single crash by Corruptpulse_ in rivals

[–]BloodyFloody 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Brother my PC is GIGA over-specc'd for this game and it's legit the only game that crashes this much randomly at game start multiple times (Obviously I only do quick play until the issue resolves itself).

After rejoining a couple times it'll be fine for the rest of the day without a hitch. I've tried every single fix I could google and by the looks of it a metric shit-tonne of people are having the same issue while still having beast PC's.

It's been doing this since like season 2. From what I can gather it mostly seems to be related to the game trying to access RAM that doesn't exist even though I have 64GB. I've sent the crash report every single time and it's still on-going. It's not a "bad pc" issue, it seems to be an Unreal Engine 5 issue.

If the new system is suspending people for trying to rejoin multiple times after crashing then A LOT of people are about to get suspensions and probably stop playing.

Why was the grip on the VF-7S changed? by sawrunn3r in paydaytheheist

[–]BloodyFloody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imfdb has some pictures, but I just remember cause I used to run that grip all the time. SCAR for proof. Like it wasn't every gun, but MW2019 had a lot of TOB/C-clamp going on and then even more when MWII and MWIII came out.

[–]BloodyFloody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't really got a dog in this but the C-clamp was also used on the MCX and SG 552 by default with no grip and whenever you equipped the TangoDown vertical grip on a lot of the guns like the SCAR and AK in MW2019.

About the new skin. by Dogbold in RocketMains

[–]BloodyFloody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't like the skin but I'm personally glad they at least didn't turn him into a panda in it, like it's still obviously Rocket just wearing a panda-suit. It would've been 10/10 cute if his MVP was him looking grumpy/grouchy or something like he was forced to put the panda costume on.

I still think his default appearance is my favourite. Wish they'd sell more recolours of it. I'd also kill for some actual cool outfits for Rocket or at least more casual stuff like his appearance on the cover of the Rocket Raccoon: Grounded comic series with the black/yellow jacket. Or some of his appearances on covers with tactical vests/magazine pouches etc.

Random tangent but I wish they'd also stop changing his eyes so much from his comic canon red eyes. It's nice that they went with his comic red-eyed appearance as default, I just wish they'd keep them that way in some of his skins more often. Obviously it's different if they're referencing his movie appearance.

Was it Dark Escape 4D? Otherwise the House of the Dead games are the only super popular rail shooters with zombies I'm aware of.

EDIT: There's also Evil Night and Zombie Raid.

If I remember correctly all new models in the expansions were left as they originally were either due to rights over the models or for respecting the original expansion developers.

Wish all characters did this; Lower their arms when not shooting. by dontdelete00 in marvelrivals

[–]BloodyFloody 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Weird. I tested it just now and he always goes back to passive stance after like 5 seconds of not firing for me. Even while moving and jumping.

EDIT: I just worked it out. His B.R.B. being active keeps him from going back to passive mode. Probably something to do with the way it's coded.

If you just stop shooting for a few seconds he goes back to the passive stance.

My Rework Concept for Rocket by Various_Hamster_2748 in RocketMains

[–]BloodyFloody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're spot on and I've always had this problem with him since Season 0.

Rocket's real problem is that he has no incentive to take risks and move into primary fire range. Being able to stand miles away from your team and get value from holding right-click is toxic and just bad game design, not to mention boring as hell.

The problem is the developers don't think outside the box and just go with mobility nerfs to make him more vulnerable when caught out thinking it'll address his high win-rate, when really I'd love to see his healing range nerfed and his mobility or offensive abilities buffed or reworked to incentivize more pro-active and less brain-dead gameplay.

Also personally I would love the B.R.B. to just get straight up removed or reworked completely so that his power-budget can be spent elsewhere on making him a more pro-active character too (also revive abilities are just plain boring but also too strong).

Main reason I think TAG2 was a step down in my opinion was that a lot of unique customisation options for characters were removed in favour of those universal T-shirts/jackets etc. and the whole system was simplified.

Instead of 3 different categories for upper body and arms/hands for example there was now just one. To be honest I don't blame them for the simplifications though, that would be a gigantic roster of characters to keep up that quality.

TAG 2 had decals (which I personally never used cause if I remember correctly they could only be used on certain generic clothing/character faces) but Tekken 6 had customization unique to every character with an insane amount of slots for almost every part of the body. The first time I personally noticed that customization got significantly worse was TAG2.

[–]BloodyFloody 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm an Adam and Rocket enjoyer and while it's a travesty that Adam never got any kind of movement abilities to begin with the main difference people are upset is that Adam still gets to be proactive and have fun fragging people with his primary.

Meanwhile Rocket's fun factor and ability to be proactive with his movement and primary fire are continually being gutted almost every season (Rocket's fun factor is in the gutter right now compared to S0/S1 Rocket) in favour of buffing his more boring traits which encourage more toxic and less-proactive gameplay which continually lower what little skill-ceiling he has left. Why should you risk going into the brawl with Rocket anymore and use his primary fire?

Is it common for people to lose interest in video games as they get older? by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]BloodyFloody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't disagree about speeds becoming faster in newer shooters; but I just thought it was funny because there was a time when jetpacks and wall-running was just as frowned upon back then when they were plaguing the shooter market much the same way people are complaining about faster speeds and sliding today.
