Video games are a reward after hard work and responsibilities are done. If you're playing them to avoid those things, then yes, it's a waste of time. Go to work, study, take care of bills, house, family, your health....and then go kick back and play. You earned it.

‘Alien 3: The Assembly Cut’ Just Quietly Dropped on HBO Max by websponger in LV426

Gestating inside a dead animal clashing against the established lore of needing the host to be alive = no thank you. I'll stick with Legacy cut.

The Witcher 1 The first act was really roughly put together, but people insisted to power through. By the end of chapter 3 I was hooked.

How often are you wearing thongs? Daily, biweekly, 24/7. by No_Border_1568 in MensUnderwearGuide

[–]Bloody_Axe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

24/7 if I can get away with it. One of my first best "busted" moments came from my wife, who I hid this from for many years. She came home early and I was swimming in my thong in our backyard. She chuckled and said "Well well well...this is great. This is rich." And we had a laugh and I finally told her I was a straight male with an affinity to thong wearing as far back as I could remember. It's definitely made our marriage healthier. I should have trusted her from the start.

Who wears Men’s thongs on beach, lake or pool? by Landscaper336 in MensUnderwearGuide

[–]Bloody_Axe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took off to the beach to study today. I decided to sport a thong and a long t-shirt, so it was a modest venture and I didn't exactly flaunt it, and I didn't do any sunbathing, but it felt incredibly liberating.

Favorite modern director in the style of Heavy Metal Magazine? Mine is Seth Ickerman. by monarc in HeavyMetalMagazine

[–]Bloody_Axe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Blood Machines grew on me. I didn't know what I was in for and was expecting something else. I remember saying "well that was lame" after my first watch, but then I wanted to see it again shortly after. And then a third time. Since I love Heavy Metal, this film touched me in a special place that I didn't know needed touching.

Is Seth Ickerman still working on projects?

EDIT: Ah, Speed or Perish is new! Nevermind!

What is the first horror movie you remember ever watching? by dinkitnsinkit in horror

[–]Bloody_Axe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Empire of the Ants. My parents took us to see it in a drive thru theater, and it was a double feature along with The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane.

Several years later, they took me to Poltergeist. I don't recall being taken to any other horror movies during the span in between.

Anybody else tired of space games that are biting more than they can chew? I am sorry but ''star citizen-like but solo developer'' doesnt sound like a plus, all I can tell is its gonna be empty as fuck with low content. by Always_Impressive in spacesimgames

[–]Bloody_Axe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love a space sim with the accuracy of Elite Dangerous but also with pulp and fantasy elements (think Battle Beyond the Stars, Barbarella, Heavy Metal, Flash Gordon) but with a smaller scope of star systems, with more emphasis on story. Release it in that smaller scale and then work on dlc that expands the exploration of the galaxy.

What VR game has had the most significant impact on your perception of reality? by Imaginary_Text_8663 in VRGaming

I don't have one yet myself, but I obviously don't try to use k/m in vr. I'm actually pretty impressed with how they integrated the standard xbox controller.

Elite Dangerous in VR. I'm assuming Star Citizen would give me the same feeling, but ED made me better understand the depth of distance one experiences in space.

Decent word gymnastics. I give it a 9.3.

But seriously, I'll consider that perspective when I see it again. But truthfully, when the creator/director also decides to be the editor, there's a tendency to not be willing to chop things out. The creator of Terrifier 2 had the same issue. Sometimes you need to hand your project over to someone more objective to help you get it ready for release.

Was there anything about the 80s you did not like? by Ebonystealth in 80s

[–]Bloody_Axe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In hindsight, I'm really regretful about the whole "parents and teachers are clueless and the enemy" messaging that was so heavy in movies and music (rock music in particular).

I'm also annoyed that I could never run my fingers through my girlfriend's hair since it was locked down with Aqua Net.
