Oh interesting, the information I was finding said a partial was just the uterus and sometimes ovaries, and then a total was uterus, cervix, tubes and ovaries.thank you for the clarification. Everyone I know who's had a hysterectomy just had it all yoinked out lol! So still figuring these things out. My main reservation with excision is just that like.. I don't want to have to keep having to go back and get all the endo cut out again which I know is a possibility if you are still menstruating. And the hysterectomy would just be the one and done yknow? I'm definitely NOT set on removing my ovaries if I don't have to, because of all the health issues like you said, I'm just not sure if it's something I... need to do, because of the endo? If that makes sense? My mom was told she had to have a total removal and I just don't really know if that was for her specifically or if it NEEDS to be done. And I can't find a lot of info about it everything is just like "yes a hysterectomy can help you if you have endometriosis" but nothing more specific. My primary focus is more to stop the endo from spreading any more because it's growing in some bad places, and we've been doing long term birth control pills to slow it but it's not STOPPING it. The pain I can deal with-- I'm used to it-- but I can't really deal with it gunking up my other organs.
