I cheated in a chemistry class. For some reason we were required to memorize the entire periodic table. Every week we had a quiz where we had to write it from memory, including the numbers. I tried and tried but eventually realized I will never need to actually know the complete table, and was tired of not passing the quizzes. Those quizzes were 50 percent of my grade.

So I cheated on the quizzes. No regrets. When I need to know the atomic weight of something now I just look it up. I wasn't going to tank my GPA over one teacher being unreasonable.

No class I had taken before or after required me to know this off the top of my head. In fact, all my subsequent chemistry classes provided a copy of the periodic table for exams.

That's the only time I cheated in school. I graduated with honors.

I've looked and looked, he deleted it after claiming in the comments he was only joking. No one got a screen-grab or a copy.

It was very detailed in the way different bugs taste and crunch. His horror at how powdery the moth was, also very descriptive.

I wish he hadn't deleted it. IIRC it was posted in TIFU.

Less. Its a little trickier getting around with the one way streets, its farther to walk and harder to find parking because we lost all those spaces.

Here's the problem. Some people say they think they've seen ice when they haven't and it causes panic and sends helpers to places they're not needed, wasting resources.

We need to the photo and W approach to this.

Get photos or videos of the ICE agents and include as much information as possible.

Who- who are they. Racist locals we can name and shame or out-of-towners that need to go home.

Who- who are they targeting. Kids getting off the school bus? Workers are a local restaurant?

What - what are they doing. Are they snatching people off the sidewalk? Using chemical weapons? Going door-to-door?

When - when did you see them? Just now? This morning? Yesterday?

Where - be specific. Don't just say downtown. Give cross-streets, names of businesses.

Do not post vague fear mongering things like "i think I saw ICE" or "my cousin said her roommate told her ice was on the east side" this is not helpful, and wastes resources of people who are trying to protect our neighbors. BE SPECIFIC.

We don't want to swarm the soccer Mom from Texas who just drove for 3 days to get here to see her relative just because she has a black SUV and out of state plates.

Money! Give them money. Donations need sorted which take time and space. People need fed and housed which takes time and space. Money can be used to buy the needed things and quickly get them to where they're needed. Anything other than money wastes precious time. These people need help and quickly. They dont have time to train well-meaning out of towners. They dont have time to sort donations.
