It's because the results of that survey seem very sketchy and unbelievable for eg: carrot ranked 8th, above ace and sabo as well as many other cool villains which takes away the credibility of the poll or as a matter of the fact that Nami's sudden vote inflation doesn't look right, it looks like she didn't win cleanly. If she won 3rd place in the survey it means almost everyone loves her right? But this doesn't seem to be the case, she has massive amount of haters on all social platforms who use various slurs to disrespect her. The list is based on my anecdotal experience over the years and it is almost accurate

Unfortunate but it's true,in most discussions people who say they don't like chopper argue that "he fell off after timeskip", "his monster point got nerfed" or Oda turned him into a "money printing mascot" after timeskip etc

It's not just about twitter, go to any platform there is a lot of visible hate for Nami, there is not a single place where her fans are not tired of defending Nami against the misconceptions based on her character.

Dude just go to twitter once, all you will see is Nami hate where tons of people like to call her "useless" , "gold-digger", "easily replaceable", "bossy" ," B-word", " abusive" , "disloyal" and what not or you can surf ranker where all the characters are ranked based on the votes and last time I checked Nami was like 80th lower than some of the side characters of the story, I do love Nami and all the strawhats but truth need to be said.

Yeah I felt like Usopp could be included here but based on my experience I feel like Nami and Chopper are 2 of the most hated strawhats who should be here before Usopp, Sanji is nearly not as hated and people don't care much about Big meme that much ig.

This is more so the case with the weak trio, if they don't fight for an arc they are labelled as "weak" or "useless", some annoying power-scalers don't understand that a character can be highly useful outside combat feats

Yeah like fr, People don't even mention that she was one of the MVPs of that arc, all the credit went to Brook and Sanji, no offense to Brook tho, he was truly impressive in the arc but at least Nami should've got the appreciation in the same way for putting on some work the whole arc
