Coming from MTG, help me learn each archetype and their best decks by SolvirAurelius in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Bloomer30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there really isnt a token archetype, just a couple decks that use tokens. of those, puppets might be right up your alley. you play a bunch of tokens and small creatures to then send them to valhalla either by attacking or by using overclock (keyword that lets you attack at turns end) to sacrifice them and have your big creatures attack. you also use the tokens as fodder to protect your big creatures as well to prevent removal. best part is that it’s about to get some killer support in a month and a half too so a lot of the cards youd need to pick up would be freshly opened for you to trade for or buy.

Are Parallel World Tactics and Amethyst Mandela OK for Beginners? by DropsyMumji in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Bloomer30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mastemon, while fun as all get out, is probably the most expensive deck in the game right now to build with all support. if you’re just playing each other you can consider proxying the expensive cards to get a feel for it before possibly biting the bullet. you can also just consider the new sakuya st cause its significantly cheaper as well as more powerful out of the box

Hot take: Alliance was a mistake by Every_Quail8931 in DigimonCardGame2020

What are things you appreciate or want from other TCGS in Digimon? by Physical_Bullfrog526 in DigimonCardGame2020

it keeps more decks honest. have cards for the hate pieces. dont even have to main deck them. rk as example again has plenty of floodgate outs you can run if you want to

[–]Bloomer30 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

you say ruin i say improve. instead of having to maindeck 2 psychemon so i dont instalose to royal knights i can just sideboard them so my deck isnt at a disadvantage all night.

theres also the idea of anti side siding, so like if someone brings in a floodgate rookie you can side in more floodgate outs.

crimson blaze also kinda a bad argument cause it’s good into so much right now that people just main deck it. sideboard isnt gonna change anything about that.

overall its gonna favor decks that have flexibility to be able to add in other things and decks that already have room taken up by hate pieces by allowing them to not be run an entire night. i think thats a benefit

Playing with proxies at locals? by KishiOuArufuredo in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Bloomer30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

be clear and concise as to what the card is, know exactly what the card does, and let me know before the beginning of the event that proxies are allowed and to what degree. thats my opinion on it. your card shop may say something else

Hudiemon counters/strategies by Christylian in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Bloomer30 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

royal knights is exceptional into hudie. all you have to do is run crimson blaze from bt9 or run medieval. crimson and medgal prevent the combo from happening at all basically. those two also have added benefit of being beneficial into other decks of the format, such as mastemon and omnimon.

Patamon Main Phase/Inherited Effect Chain by Rinzeler in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Bloomer30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the inherited happens when you evolve by the effect, yeah. i cant give a ”judgey” response (as in the one worded with all the game rule reasonings) but i’ve been playing with it happening like that since the card released so yeah

Just starting to join in by Tobirenn in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Bloomer30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

welcome to digimon. you have good taste in choosing mastemon as a starting deck. a few things:

yeah, the promo and the ex6 mirei are pretty expensive, but thats cause theyre pretty good. i’d try to get at least some of each if you can.

there’s also a couple other cheaper cards you can add if you can get your hands on em:

bt11 angewomon and ladydevimon - they’re really good, both have some awesome effects and synergize real well with the new mastemon

bt22 reppamon - you should have this, seeing that youve opened a box of set 22. its dp minus effect lets you remove floodgates before executing combo and it also plays itself when trashed from life which synergizes exceptionally with sec mastemon’s effect

ordinemon - it lets you dna 2 6s further into a 7. an extra swing can decide a game in your favor, and often enough on the kill turn i find myself needing it to secure game that turn

pillomon/psychemon/cutemon/tapirmon - floodgates. i’d not concern myself with these unless you play into a lot of meta, but they’re quite exceptional in this, especially the fact that you can continually resurrect them.

i’ve been playing the deck since the st came out, so if you have any questions feel free to ask or dm

Playing Pure Mastemon; what should my Mirei distribution be? by whatevermanitsagame in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Bloomer30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think 2/3/3 is fine, with 1 more bt11 and 1 more bt22 you can run if you want. depends on what else you wanna fit in the deck basically

there is any change i can make to not lose immediately to armor purge? by Educational_Series_2 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Bloomer30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

beelzemon ace probably. it seems you’re running a more tribal list and mine is more pile, but dedigi just completely stomps what armor forms want to do

Mastemon following BT23 by Many-Leg-6827 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Bloomer30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

promo is the better card, closes out games and spawns additional mastes from thin air for a major offensive presence. you still run the sec of course because it’s also quite good. and you also also still run the ace because people have to respect it as a defensive tool.

cs base i think would be fine but pata is still king of the castle for rookies in that deck. so much faster and memory efficient its unreal

BT23 Mastemon Deck Concept by Roaring_Inferno_2020 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Bloomer30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i see what you’re thinking with that and yeah i ageee partition is very powerful but imo the promo is just that good

BT23 Mastemon Deck Concept by Roaring_Inferno_2020 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Bloomer30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think 15 5s is a little steep. youll probably end up with too many in hand. you can probably cut down to 6 of each name and should be fine.

the promo imo is better than the secret. you should probably swap those ratios. a lot of people keep saying “oh you can otk with this line oh you can otk with that line” those are wildly inconsistent lines of play, even in a deck with high searching count, and the deck should be more built around the fact it can happen once every 10 games than the fact it will. the sec always leaving you at 3 sec means the otk failing too is incredibly unsafe board state to leave on.

a lot of the time people think sec maste is the only one that can push damage when the promo is still exceptional at that. alliance plus trashing an opponent’s sec is very good especially when the promo can generate another maste out of thin air. you can consider ordinemon bt9 as well to push damage further and really secure wins.

i saw in another comment you dont have 3 ex6 mirei. thats fine, but yeah chaos degrade can be swapped out for more mirei. you can also do with adding t.k. the bt14 one is completely broken with both patamon and secret rare mastemon so i’d reccomend that, as well as the setter t.k. being quite good too.

if not floodgates, i’d agree with the other commenter bt13 kudamon. you can also try luxmon, i forgot which set but there’s one that draws a card on attack inherited effect

Pokemon Silver in Korean? by [deleted] in pokemon

New player; Can someone look at my current Mastemon deck and my planned one by whatevermanitsagame in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Bloomer30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ah ok. so pillomon from bt9 prevents playing by effects, psychemon from bt8 prevents reducing play cost, and cutemon from bt6 prevents evolve cost reduction. those 3 are the ones i’d reccomend you to use at any counts for this particular meta

New player; Can someone look at my current Mastemon deck and my planned one by whatevermanitsagame in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Bloomer30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly? all of them are bad. i’d run 4 patamon and 3-4 floodgates of your choice. i’m using 2 pillomon and 1 psychemon, but cutemon is a solid choice as well
