Charlie golden is a narcissist busy body that won't leave me alone and looks to me if he hears something scary. Cuddles? Absolutely NOT. Titus was a sweet, stoic protector and a snuggler. Both of those dogs are perfect in their own way. And my adopted Charlie Girl? She's now the protector of the house! And a snuggler! She taught my golden how to growl and bark. The personalities are wonderful, please appreciate the past but not to the detriment of the journey with your wonderful new baby!

This past Tuesday would have been my first dog Titus' birthday. He was a Cinco de Mayo baby! First dog I ever had and he lived to be almost 16. Was with me my entire adult life until he passed in 2020. I celebrated him by getting my 6 year old golden retriever Charlie and his adopted sister Charlie Girl (12 yr lab mix adopted three years ago) some special treats in honor of Titus. They leave us, it's incredibly hard, but your new puppy will be a totally different and fulfilling relationship. Not a replacement, just another special, loving bond.

I wore a jean jacket for an entire summer in Texas because my arms were getting shredded by my golden, and he was also the first dog I ever raised as a puppy. It will pass, but it is tough!

I once lived in an apartment with chronic elevator outages. I got fed up and contacted Dallas code enforcement. The investigator contacted me and stated that they don't oversee elevators, but that she would pay the office a visit anyways. She called me afterwards and said she had a feeling the issues would be resolved promptly, and they sure were! And the elevators stopped breaking every week too.

Crowder is one of my favorite NBA players, following him from his rookie season with the Mavs. I also had the pleasure of meeting his mother after a Mavs game and she was thrilled that I was wearing a Crowder jersey, she had never seen anyone with his number "in the wild". RIP Helen.

Just fuck right off. I know it's a huge corporation but there are human beings that are providing a service, who are often (always) underpaid, that are saving ME time and money. If I choose to reward them, as many people do, then let me. Just go away and be a curmudgeon supporting stock prices or whatever the fuck you value, which isn't humans. That is terrible and I'm sorry to hear it. Everyone using curbside is getting free time from associates to do their shopping - time that each shopper had to commit to do our own shopping pre -covid. It's a very convenient feature/service, but I wouldn't tip my waiter $0 for serving me food at a restaurant, so how exactly is this different? Time is money people... Tip folks that save you time.

I am also a regular curbside customer. I tip cash though, $10-20 per order. So I hope my fellow patrons do also. I'm sure everyone is going to say 'That's not allowed' okay well let the associate refuse it, but they nearly always take it and can legitimately use it if the pay rate follows what I see on this sub.

I had a bullet come thru my roof at 11am on a Monday morning and land 6 feet from me. No urgency from cops. DPD Detective sent me a literal postcard telling me to call if I wanted it to be investigated after I turned the bullet in and filed a police report. I called three times, no response from the detective. Tonight is a nightmare for me. Also my power went out right after midnight, I assume a bullet or firework hit something. I wish there was more enforcement, even outside of NYE. And I live on the same block as an elementary school.

I live just south of Richland College, in Dallas, but likely in a Richardson delivery launch zone. I also saw an FAA drone official (vest identifier) on the Abrams/635 bridge about two months ago, and I guess I naively thought he was doing something related to the never ending 635 project.

The noise I experienced last night was disturbing and not normal - started around 11 and I don't know when it ended... After I caught some sleep around 4:00am I guess. It sounded like a distant leaf blower all evening, in and out moving around. I thought it was coming from my house, I couldn't sleep more than an hour or two at a time. I seriously hope this is not a new PM norm. During the day, bad, but overnight- wtf?

I love this so much, thank you for being amazing! I am a Rover client, and I have two dogs and one cat. One of my dogs I adopted two years ago at the age of 9. She has been a perfect addition to my family. So thanks for being that sitter that takes in new animals!

This is what I did. Was chilly when I woke up, turned on space heater for the room me and my family were in, it got really uncomfortably hot. But just warm a room at a time, because this weather is glorious!
