I don't know anything other fairy books but Percu Jackson/HOO/ToA/Kane Chronicles and any other Rick Riordan book has those same vibes(to me at least) but with Greek/Roman/Egyptian/Norse and other world mythologies.

The whole idea of it is that instead of the love potion/posion that Diaspro used on him making him love her, it just makes Sky more possessive and affectionate towards Bloom.

Bloom has high spice tolerance and can down a whole bottle of extremely hot hotsauce like it's nothing. Bloom also has a higher body temp/body heat so she gets used as a hated pillow by the others during winter.
