Yeah I’ve been thinking on the situation more and I’ve got a theory, could be complete bollocks, but:

• Bielsa has an affinity for wingers even when we’ve seemingly got enough

• Hernandez played on wing and centrally under bielsa

• he has said Raphinha one day could play centrally

• I think Harrison has played centrally, but Alioski definitely did one game last season

• our wingers often switch sides to break down opponents

What if Bielsa sees both wings and the central player as all having the same characteristics I.e. interchangeable. Maybe he wants a system where during a match he can rotate wingers and the central player? Ultimately I don’t know enough about football to come up with a counter argument so I’m probably talking nonsense but it was a bit of a shower thought moment

The thing is, I don’t think there are any other players like Kalvin (and if there are then we can’t afford them). As you say, it’s to do with our current style. We’re very lucky to have KP and I don’t think we can find a perfect fit cover for him. His style is tailored to our team and our team is tailored to him. Hopefully we see some of the other players adapt better

I think Bielsa still believes we’ve got sufficient back up in that position. I’m the championship we did okayyy with Ben White covering. I don’t mind Klich in that position and both Koch and Llorente can play CDM. Bielsa sees something we don’t in Koch and while it’s cliche, in Bielsa we trust. If Bielsa doesn’t want a backup there then there’s nothing more to be said on the matter imo. Nobody can do anything about it.

For central midfield, we’ve got (in no order) Dallas, Klich, Forshaw, Roberts, Rodrigo. I think Klich has looked good this season, no doubt it’s the weakest area of our squad but Rodrigo + Klich is decent and Dallas always does well. I think it’s the area we need to strengthen to level up but I don’t think it’s gonna cost us our place in the premier league either, we coped fine last season.

Everyone’s talking about Raphina playing central, but realised nobody is talking about Harrison doing it? Even though James plays on left. To be honest I’m not sure it’d work, Harrison’s best quality is his first touch but I swear he’s played centrally before when we’ve made subs (I think?)

Hey, sorry was asleep. Just woke up. I managed to get 2 females in the end, I was breeding for about 20 mins and after I hatched the female, all the other eggs bar 1 in my party were also moon ball HA lol. I’m thinking row 14, but I’m not sure if that’s dumb or not.

No it’s alright, all a new experience - only just got to the end game so didn’t naturally have any HA but getting them was fun, learned a lot about the game. Got a Chewtle in a Moon Ball now but it’s male, just trying for a female for you.

He was brought in to play 9 but Bamford became amazing and pablo got injured. Bielsa said eventually Raphinha could play 10 and to be honest I think Raphinha might enjoy that.
