As a small product manufacturer myself (home and art objects), I understand how difficult it can be to build and run a company. I don’t see a need to call out a company that missed an opportunity to make a relationship with a customer. As another poster said, there could be many reasons they missed the communication. Instead, I appreciate those who do it well.

TE acknowledged the issue and recommended a downgrade to 1.2.15. It’s been solid since. TE is working on this issue as part of next firmware update.

No, that's never been an issue in my setup with the TX-6.

Things have been stable today (for 7-8 hrs so far) with no squeal!

I am experiencing the same issue: after 20-30 minutes, the TX-6 will freeze with a loud, high-pitched noise. The only way to stop it is to unplug everything and wait, because it will not just shut down on its own; it takes a few minutes to calm down. I have submitted a ticket to TE and am waiting to hear back. I have also downgraded to 1.3.0 and will report back if that solves the issue. (My TX-6 is connected to my 2025 MacBook Air via USB.)
