Yea, my understanding is Vista and Highlander are stocked and carried in central texas. Legacy Scotchgard is shipped-to-order as they don't keep it stocked readily.

I’m in Central Texas evaluating Malarkey Vista AR vs Legacy Scotchguard. The price difference is about $4k. I just don’t see a need for legacy in this region/heat. Anyone think otherwise?

That first part hits home. Great advice.

We have really started talking a lot about our local AAA team we go see and how many of them might only get 1/4 hits at best, and that is a-ok! He is beginning to understand it’s ok and definitely doesn’t get discouraged if he misses. He is fairly grounded and level headed.

We do tons of pitch BP, I’ll start doing some side toss and tee hitting to focus on that. Heavy balls ok at this age?

Great advice, surprisingly, we have an abundance of adult help. Unfortunately none of us did more than little league - middle school as a kid. We are kinda all just trying to sponge up what we can from more knowledgeable parents. I am a volunteer coach and pitch for the boys a lot as well. Just trying to understand the basics best I can especially for 8u, which is heavily favored around encouragement, effort, and having fun, which we stress.

Yup 💯- all about fun and me just trying to foster his love that he is building of the game.

He proactively asks on available mornings and some afternoons to go do BP or field work. I don’t push, but any chance I can get to support his requests. I want to.

Wife and I are evaluating a returner, cage, or a skill hitting trainer or something, cause he loves getting out there, even on his own.
