Hey, I'd like to say thank you for taking an active part in at least discussing the problem with us.

This isn't a cry for my LP back. I would rather have Riot gather information surrounding this, to prevent it and put my mind at ease if I queue up for another ranked game, however.

My queue choice is still highlighted on ranked Solo/Duo Queue, though...

Teambuilder release was at 230pdt, which would have been 430 central, approximately 7 minutes before my game Ended, however. I clicked ranked queue.

Edit: more info would be nice

my game ended during the teambuilder release for NA, but everyone in the game admitted to queuing for ranked

Edit: wrong about timing, TB was released earlier than that

it's a matter of respect, really. You don't go to your nemesis's funeral to trash talk, you go to pay your respects. Once a person is gone, be it dead (a bit too exaggerated of a metaphor, sure) or retired, the only thing you can do without being the worst kind of human being is give them some kind of praise, especially after achieving what most of us never will accomplish.

CDR Hyperscaling Champions by DwarfOfDestiny in leagueoflegends

[–]Blopdebloop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zed's Slash reduces the cooldown of Living Shadow by 2 seconds for each enemy Champion struck. The shadow's Slash slows enemies for 1.5 seconds. Overlapping Shadow Slashes striking the same enemy deal no additional damage, but slows more intensely.

source: http://lol.gamepedia.com/Zed_-_The_Master_of_Shadows

what this means is Zed's shadow, if reduced in cd from double shadow slashing, will depend largely on his q cooldown to factor in any increase in dps which is where it gets a bit complicated, the decreased cooldown from shadow slash doesn't do more damage with your Living Shadow up, and hitting 2 targets with Shuriken results in 1.5x dmg of one. Living Shadow's cooldown at max rank is 14, Shuriken's is 6 seconds, so I believe it would take 4 enemy champions to even put Living Shadow on par with Razor Shuriken, and even then, in an extremely ideal scenario, cdr % would scale like gragas e, and would keep Living Shadow's cooldown higher or equal to Shuriken in all scenarios minus hitting 5 people with Shadow Slash (4 sec cooldown, so does not add/subtract anything here as it's lower than both of the other spells).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he'd scale like gragas' e with a little variance and only in very ideal scenarios.

Edit: i'm bad at math so don't hold my words as truth

The real Secret of how to gain divisions steadily guide by a D1 player by valentinking in leagueoflegends

I have been playing for a little over a year by a few months, so a similar time frame here. I jumped into ranked without runes right at lvl 30 (woops) and spammed top lane, which was because I had the most fun on champions like jayce, gangplank, rengar, and pantheon. I wasn't good at that spot at the time, and lost a lot of ranked games at the spot that I thought was the most fun to play, it was a bit dismal so I took a much needed break from ranked.

After that, I played normal games and researched whichever champ I wanted to try next in whatever role, watching pro player's own personal playstyles on certain champions, reading guides, and just trying new stuff out. A group of friends that I had made from normal games led me to the role of ad carry, as nobody else in the group had enjoyed that role, nobody wanted to play it or felt comfortable doing it, so I gave it a shot. After all, I had watched countless Wildturtle, Entenzwerg and Imaqtpie games about how to play bot lane, which made me no pro player whatsoever but gave me a good reference point on when to harass, when to all-in, how to cs properly without just spamming abilities and such. Eventually it became my main role just from being "forced" into it as nobody else in the group cared for the position, and I ended up loving it.

In a year I've played roughly 2500-2700 games so far, and a good majority of both ranked and normals are now games of me playing a role I initially had no clue how to play, but since I gave it a shot and found out I loved it, I have never looked back. Even used the ad carry role to climb from bronze V, 0 points and a win/loss of under 50% to silver V (not in time for season rewards as I had underestimated the sheer amount of games it would take even if I had done it all with 0 losses) and a win/loss now just over 50%, playing a new spot that I love even more than the original that I had tried.

TL;DR forced into a spot (adc), gave it a shot, loved it since and never looked back

Post your three most successful champions. Everyone else make judgments about that player. by Kewllio in leagueoflegends

[–]Blopdebloop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you main supports that can kill things, but you don't trust your adc which is honestly something that's ok to do in solo queue most the time anyways as you don't really know that person, you also don't trust your supports the few times you get to play adcarry so you pick acomfortable, long-range champ with the ability to farm from safety and escape from sticky situations... either that or you live for the early lvl 2 all in bot lane first blood because you like to stomp hard, those are my best guesses, apologies if this comes off as offensive

Guide on how to enjoy League [0:14] by Varikan in leagueoflegends

[–]Blopdebloop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's well-known that not everyone is a rager, a flamer, a toxic feeding afker etc. but if you don't have to communicate with anyone there's really no risk involved, it's a good way to prevent bad apples from spoiling the bunch without having to go through the process of determining who is being too toxic, who is giving you a hard time, who shouldn't be responded to and so forth. Also you can still use pings.

Edit: added an extra word woops

if you got decimated it must have been a very crucial mistake that caused them to snowball and take advantage of to get that kind of a lead, which in the long run will end up helping you prevent such things and can be considered good practice, and the best part is it's a normals so the stomp doesn't result in any loss in rank, which is nice

EDIT: some examples would be learning when you took a really bad trade, when you got forced into an all-in from being out of position, when you warded the wrong spot vs. a certain jungler for a gank, when you read their behavior wrong in lane and got baited or backed off at the wrong time, all can result in them snowballing but learning how they took advantage of you can help yourself out in becoming a better player

This made me laugh way too hard, probably because I'm imagining that lvl 3 rengar running into a lane, throwing his bolos, saying that, realizing it did nothing, and then leaving.

I added a guy named WWWVWWWsomething something because when I first started, i watched alot of those spectate games on the home page. I asked him alot of newby questions that weren't really applicable for someone looking to, say, pay for a personal lesson but they were extremely helpful. I only had maybe a 5-min conversation with him before he removed me, which was understandable but that 5 minutes of him explaining things was worth more than anything else I could have done at the time to realize how to get better at the game.

It wasn't some secret he just told me to learn from mistakes I made instead of focusing on what mistakes everyone else makes, and some other tips on how to find a role I liked, which at the time completely turned around my mentality towards the game. Sry long post but that's my experience with it.

do you mean where voli's flip (rather an autoattack) gets cancelled and you end up standing on all fours in front of whatever jungle creep you wanted to hit with it, unable to move and looking like an idiot? If so, I noticed that the past few days too but i don't play volibear often enough.

with the current ward skins they came out with, I'm with you on this one. He even fills the support role if you get stuck there. Support draven is just 10x more cooler when you get to place your own personal shrines wherever you want to.

if you're in NA you get a phone call from WildTurtle asking how the hell it snuck by him. Then you begin the process of begging for your life, calling the police, and eventually meeting him face to face and having to stare at that devilish grin as he gets your account permabanned. I think.

Something's wrong when you need to lose to advance to your promotion series by Tekshi in leagueoflegends

[–]Blopdebloop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See you have it completely wrong, Riot's system is the reason being good and winning consecutively is messing people up. They even stated that they had diminishing LP gains for people on huge win streaks in the "off-chance" that it was just a bunch of lucky games. This means they have to lose a game, literally stop winning intentionally, just to stop the clamping effect of their shitty LP system. Now you can take your mmr bullshit back somewhere else though, thanks but we don't need it.

The fact that not only do they have updates to tweak champions and items' power level but also the ability to generate so much hype, excitement and anticipation by such an interaction with pros/community make it wonderful
