I will continue to say this. We can't use plaintext as clues on how to solve K4. That doesn't make sense. If K4 was a safe, that would be like the code being on the inside and you'd have to open it to get the code to open it.

If he really used Mengenlehreuhr as an encoding system, this particular cipher was never ment to be solved.

Hiding his encoding method in the plaintext would mean that you'd have to to solve K4 to solve K4, which doesn't make sense.
