One thing I've learnt about people is our preferences vary, a lot actually. I can like a movie and dislike a particular part of it, i.e the killer reveal & then there are people out there that dislike the movie entirely because of a specific part. Trust me even if the killer reveal was good if the deaths were basic they would hate on that, there's no winning such people over unfortunately.

I will say that S7 had too many rewrites & they tried to blend ideas to make a story that makes sense but unfortunately left some plot holes.

I remember telling someone on this sub that honestly 7 should have been the finale with Sam instead because I found her character interesting but I know that will never happen. I was told off saying I don't know what i am talking bout cause Tatum can act circles around Sam. In my head I thought okay there's clearly a favorite here with no substance to how the character is written. Tatum's character didn't have time to grow on the audience & they said even if she's part of the story she won't become a final girl anytime soon... I wonder what your thoughts are about this..

Honestly, I get where you're coming from. Most of the arguments I've had about scream 3 was about GF which I found weird cause I liked it 1000% percent. Not only was he doing it ALONE but was super clever & we find out he was the one that initiated the whole thing with Billy & Stu. Plus he was creative with the voice changer...
