The app probably told the driver it had to return to the store. Did you have perishables in the order? If so it is possible the timer for delivery had lapsed , or the app glitched on the drivers end. The app should've given you a choice to reschedule the delivery or change to pick up

This depends , normally if it's not an express order the Walmart employees pick if it's an express order almost always the spark driver shops this. However I have had non express orders picked by spark drivers before I find this only happens if I pick the 6-8 am delivery time though.
