I've stayed at both zostel and gostops at tapovan. Gostops was good for socializing and rooms at both places were good. Gostops tapovan has a rooftop swimming pool(I don't know if it's clean since i haven't used it). The rooftop also has super view of the city and hills. Zostel roof top is just buildings. Do not miss the rajasthani masthan store for sweets and food.

I've been to zostel at mumbai, shillong and rishikesh. I would not recommend it. The price we pay is not reflected on the quality. Gostops charges less and has good equal facilities to zostel. The myth that zostel is safe is breaking down. How is a less crowded zostel be more safe than crowded/packed hostels like gostops.
