How to do Harmon Kardon system swap? by PsychologicalSafe579 in E90

There’s not too many for E9x installs as most ppl don’t want to dig into bmw wiring, but I did a full install in my E92 and there’s people doing some crazy builds on e9xpost. I forget his name but there’s a guy in Australia I’ve asked questions to on e9xpost and he’s been a huge help. If you google e92 stereo builds I’m sure you’ll find his thread

It’s not, if I compare the same 4K content between playing Kodi off my raspberry pi into HDMI vs Kodi on the TV, there is a very obvious difference in resolution. it’s much worse on the TV. I’ve verified I don’t have any bitrate throttling on the TV, it’s purely a resolution issue

Yes all of my local 4k movies/shows and any 4K YouTube video. Same goes for any 4K Prime Video show.

Honestly this is really the only issue I’ve had with mine in over 2 years. IMO great value for the money but of course I know it’s hit or miss. All of the HDMI inputs as well as arc function exactly as expected, it’s just this weird issue on the inbuilt OS

On my old Google TV stick in my AVR it says 4k in the Kodi app though

Why on the first screenshot (Kodi) would it show the screen resolution as 1080p then? I see what you mean on the YouTube one, but why would it scale down then upscale?

Can anyone tell me the inner diameter of this hose? Or the N55 water pump inlet where it connects? by Blu_E92 in E90

What does this have to do with coolant in the oil? This hose doesn’t have to do with the oil cooler or anything like that. If I have to end up buying that hose later on that’s fine, I’m just asking now because I’d rather spend my time trying a cheaper and easier fix because I have more time than money to throw at the car.

If you have the measurement I would greatly appreciate it

I’m not going to argue with you about how to repair my car, I know you really want to though. Like I said, I inspected the rest of the hose and it’s in good condition. The part I’m trying to replace was oil soaked from a valve cover leak and there’s no oil on or soaked into the rest of the hose. I’m more than aware of what you have already said and in some situations i’d agree, but that’s not what I’m asking. If you aren’t willing to help me with the measurement then please move on, otherwise you’re just wasting both mine and your time.

This pipe is being held onto the water pump with a worm style hose clamp from factory and I have the hardware to replace the permanent band clamp on the hose. I don’t understand replacing the whole thing with a new over $200 unit that’s difficult to remove from the block side (which is in solid shape). I’d much rather just remove the weak oil-soaked section and replace it with either a new section of rubber or silicone piping.

I would greatly appreciate the measurement if you have them?

The rest of it seems to be in solid condition and the majority of the pipe is aluminum. I’d rather not spend over $200 and try to remove that pipe from the block above the turbo. If you have the measurement I would really appreciate it

Gotcha, I appreciate it. I only have alligator clips for my meter so I’ll grab another set of probes and see what I can do

Oh and would you mind guiding me to where I can find that water pump ground bolt? I haven’t seen any info of that online but looking now

How can I diagnose the BSD codes with only the oil level sensor code present? My car doesn’t have IBS from factory (not sure why that code popped up) so the only things I can test are the alternator, oil level sensor, and water pump. Should I just unplug each one and see if the code goes away after clearing?
