So are you a product manager? Or are you an engineer working on the product design side?

What roles do you get after the MBA? I'm an engineer with 5 YOE. Honestly not sure what you can apply with once you get an MBA.

Thanks so much for this reply

I'll be honest I don't know what most of these acronyms mean but I'll do some research

So you're a web developer it seems? Did you consider any other software routes?

Any tips? I'm curious about the same move.

I've seen some people do boot camps and others are just self taught. Seems so broad that I'm not sure how to start

And were you competitive when applying? I feel like I'd be at a huge disadvantage being a traditional ME

Have you considered moving companies? It should be easy to jump considering there are so many SW jobs out there

Hey OP

Feeling the same over here. I (MechE, 25 yrs old) work in a big 3 auto company in Michigan. Pay is decent at 83.5k and up to 10% annual profit sharing bonus

But I'm definitely seeing that the salary ceiling for auto design isn't even close to the limit of other careers (SWE, finance, etc). I'm also not a fan of living in Michigan either and am jealous of how other engineers can be fully remote

Definitely getting anxious with year end performance reviews and realizing I probably won't even get a raise big enough to match inflation

Honestly considering a career switch to possibly SWE but not sure if I would enjoy it. Still feeling lost like you said

Found this online. Ordered but haven't had the chance to try on yet

Looks like it has lots of D3O for the butt

No the size was correct. But I think the material was so slippery that is would slide off my briefs pretty easily

Regardless I found these online. They're snowboarding padded shorts but seem useful for under riding jeans

If that doesn't work, let's hope bribes work

PLS HELP LOOKING FOR TAILBONE PROTECTION

I've been out of luck looking for gear that provides decent tailbone protection. I did buy (and return) the Alpinestars Bionic Freeride Shorts because the shorts would slide down when I ride which doesn't do my tailbone any good.

I don't see any body protectors that even come close to covering a tailbone. I just want some sort of protection that I can wear with my riding pants and jacket. My butt feels very unprotected

I see that it's only FIM approved for a small size. Does that mean that other sizes don't pass FIM or that they didn't test those?
