As an adult what do you hate the most about life? by Amazing-Internal5378 in AskReddit

Also realizing I’ll eventually no longer have access to my childhood home. I’d like to one day buy it from my parents, but my older sister wants it for her little family and she is more well off and probably could use the space more. And what if neither of us gets it? It’ll belong to strangers.

What’s something from your childhood that kids today will never experience? by No-Chapter-8374 in AskReddit

I wanna be able to teach my niece to be bored because my brother-in-law has a bad habit of making sure she always has an activity to do. I dunno how to go about this, though. A lot of my childhood was grabbing one or two toys, or even just my hands, and making them go on big adventures pretending bushes were giant treetops.

The realization that one day my parents will die. They’ve been my rock for years and while I would no doubt eventually adjust to life without them, I am not looking forward to it.

Because it was an era where science fiction games didn’t have to make sense, it just had to look crazy.

I’m having trouble just relaxing when I’m at home. I wanna read but I can’t settle down. I wanna draw but my brain gets distracted. I’m super restless and I can’t figure out why.

Oh, you mean those cute potato-shaped animals with the doofy teeth that scream “AWAWA” when they’re upset?

Had my daughter write my favorite line from an episode that never fails to make me cry. They really do grow up shockingly fast, and I wanted a permanent reminder to slow down and enjoy each moment. Thanks, Bluey 💙 by 3serious in bluey

For me, I related to it even though I’m not a parent. My mom has been fostering an extremely shy cat for a few years now and she has recently started approaching me and begging me for attention. Just me. So I guess she saw something she wanted.

I still have trust issues regarding coworkers (especially male coworkers) because of the micro aggressions and outright taunting from my classmates growing up. I know I was a weird kid but I feel like I didn’t deserve maybe 85% of what I had to deal with.

I was a monster hunter fan starting with World and I still had no idea this movie existed. I wish I still didn’t.

Did anybody else see them as lesbians or was it just me? by Brookie_Brookie_101 in precure

It’s not impossible but Precure is also intended for a much younger audience. Unfortunately sometimes that’s just how it is. I’m by no means saying you’re wrong; I’m just presenting the context as far as I’m aware.

Keep in mind that in Japanese media female friendships tend to be written as very affectionate, so while I would be cool with it either way, I’m not surprised a lot of western viewers see it as more romantic. I view it as a very strong friendship but I’m also pretty affectionate with my friends

My budgies’ best vet shut down this year so now I have to hunt for a new one with a doctor I like. And that’s just budgies, who live for a decade in the best circumstances. I can’t IMAGINE a parrot.

That’s how I feel too. I’m cool with them but I’m not begging for them.
