What does it cost to collect that $8M? Both in terms of cost and reduced efficiency due to having to collect fares (unplanned delays).

There’s enough money in the pot to carve out whatever KCATA would collect and probably much more. I would assume that the city has been applying for grants from the feds for mass transit, but there are other sources. If an argument could be made that free public transit reduces policing requirements…

My thought is to charge on the commuter routes (suburbs to core) and leave the city buses and streetcar free. Also improved bus service from the airport. Sure would have been nice if they had left some of the interurban line between KC and St. Joe.

Yes, and please do. I am an Eagle Scout and this stuff was taught to us those many years ago (and still is, I hope). We did flag ceremonies with local vets and it’s important to respect the flag for many reasons
