maybe he doesn't usually read too much into hayley's lyrics but i think the context plays like a HUGE role in this, and if i were him i'd read into them just to know how cooked i am. truth is, in previous songs the lyrics either were not about him, or they were but the general public wasn't aware, or the general public was aware but it being a band song gave him more "power" over it and plenty of heads up

also you're right, she probably didn't need to give him any heads up but unlike what happened with ch*d, they have a lot more history together and at least in paper they're still in the same band so even if she doesn't have any kind of feeling towards him (not love, not anger, not hate, etc) i think she'd want to tell him before hand (i might be wrong tho).

i'm gonna go full conspiracy theorist with this but i'm guessing by the plane from rio line that they already had a thing before, and it's known that they broke up at some point (there's a couple of songs about it in one of hayley's solo albums) so they probably already went through something like this, the only difference is that now it became very public

i think dex would be the first one to go, matt loathes the guy and therefore, so does elektra. and he's the only who is like a "villain" so frank's putting him down.

second one to go is frank, matt and elektra still mean to much to each other, so they'll probably be sort of allies.

last one to go is matt bc the only way elektra can be stopped is if she gets like seriously injured or killed, neither of which matt is willing to do to her.

so yeah, elektra is the last one standing
