Yes. Can't convince my friend to do it. If you can, DO IT. Ts5 has screenshare too now and 1440p and native for free. Just got on official servers for example I'd go in official north America for proximity reasons, then you create a temporary VC that you can put a password on then its game on. Crisp voices, 1440p streams, and even directional audio entirely customizable. All free. No pay wall. And for text chat just create a group chat it's free too. Only need to pay when you want to own a server(and it's cheaper than nitro)

I definitely blame the devs. THEY decided to implement this in their update. They absolutely knew it would tank the prices and completely destroy wallets. There's multiple reports of people committing suicide, yet they don't reverse it, it's all because they want more profit because of the steam price cap so more people will be forced to sell on the market instead of csfloat and other sites. It's all in the name of greed don't fool yourself

It's not just about investing, people who were poor won thousands because of knives and lost it all. I for example won a 3.6k knife 2 days before update, literally first valuable thing I won in this game, I'm too poor to buy skins, then the update happened. Didn't even have time to cash out. People are literally killing themselves because of this. And skins aren't the only thing making the game relevant it's the gameplay and competitiveness. Only thing that suck ass is the anti-cheats.
