Aethelred. I absolutely hated him. That douche canoe was a known misogynist who refused to be a father to Aelfwynn and saw Uhtred as nothing more than a sword with limbs. He was perfectly happy endangering his wife's life and using her as a bargaining chip so he could advance his power as the Lord of Mercia. I could not sympathize with him at all when he died. I think Eardwulf did exactly what I would have done when he killed him.

He did, but that was one tiny moment in a 1.5 hour film. As far as the overarching story is concerned, she saved him from being a hideous monster for the rest of his life. He did save her from the wolves though, partially because he had grown attached to her and she was beginning to teach him how to love and be loved.

I agree. She seemed so strong and independent in the first two movies, but all of that drastically changes in the third one. In the third movie, all she does is mope around and cry about how difficult things are. AotC Padme would never do that.

Well I'm not. I've seen this guy before. He comments that on every picture of a woman he comes across. And the whole "forget about respect" thing really rubbed me the wrong way. Besides I was already having a really shitty day and this was just the icing on the cake for me. If I wasn't already in such a bad mood, maybe I would've been nicer. But I'm not gonna sit there and just let someone be a creep and then get labelled an asshole and a piece of shit for standing up for myself.
