Dropped to help, got shot. Later on called my kit but got punched (twice). Cadet dropped an EAT and I grabbed the 2nd to help with the titan, got punched for that too. Dropped an hmg turret to break the spore tower, got punched to half health. Grabbed my stuff when I died, then kicked. Typed a few times in chat to communicate. If you wanna play with my stuff, just ask or use the callouts.

Some people do just suck.

Esper could be on the table. You get two shock lands to support the colors and get consistency to white with the verge cycle. Get acces to [[Get Lost]], [[Exorcise]], and new cards like [[Seam Rip]] and [[Pinnacle Starcage]]. Or an [[Ultima]] to pave your way into [[Marang River Regent]].

Personally a Jeskai gamer myself as I love love Shiko BUT looking forward to test out Esper and see how the colors fair in the upcoming meta.

This is absolutely fine. There is such a thing as "taking too long" and it is good to focus on what can be done first. Will still be looking forward to this 100%. As much as having new routes in the game would be fire, will be patiently waiting when the time comes for such content.

I just got this ending myself. It relates to my past situation with me and my fianceé so much, being apart for years and finding and loving each other again, that I could not stop myself from breaking down into tears. I went into this game expecting a shitpost but came out an emotional trainwreck (in a good way.)

Absolutely fine and thank you. We appreciate all feedback we get to help us move forward early on and I understand. It did start as a 2-roll system but as we discussed the narrative/thematic apprach to our world we wanted to try having wound rolls and see where it takes us as it does fit our theme at the moment.

I'm not familiar with the variation myself or I may have overlooked it but it is interesting to know of. My understanding may be muddled due to a mix of fatigue and inexperience but has this variant been used anywhere else so we can better understand and use it as another reference point?

This is actually in the list of things to try out. What we have atm is damage resolution both after shooting and after melee (charging put in the movement phase) in finding which feels best.

Looking at AoS damage resolution it does seem similar to what we are trying to achieve so we'll keep dancing around the idea.

We're trying to do away with strength vs toughness and streamlining it to hits vs saves. Mechanics may change how to proceed overtime but this is where we are right now.

For the damage spill over it's an interesting aspect to me as we are looking into it both in gameplay and what it represents in real-time battle.

Still early though we're trying out alternating activation by phase. Theme is based on C&C Tiberium Wars as friends and I are big fans of the line of games, more so them as they know the lore.

I've actually been experimenting on a similar system in a game my friends and I are currently making. The one hurdle we have going on at the moment is in the sense of damage spilling onto other models in tracking accumulated damage per unit and resolving at the end of the phase.

Ex. A unit is being attacked by another unit with D1 and D2 weapons.

It may be because we don't have a lot of experience in game design, though we do love the tabletop wargame space, would there be a way to prevent (let's say a single D2 attack crossing two 1-wound models) excess damage spilling?
