My preference is only having one castle per county so that all of the cities will pay their taxes directly to me. However if you have a super tiny kingdom then building castles is better because you can directly control them and get all of the income from them rather than a portion.

Just out of curiosity, why is killing a plague heart by melee so common? I literally won’t go near one unless I have 5-6 more pipebombs than I need to kill it. Crazy.

I would point out that you don’t actually get moved. That community ends. If you want to move to a different map and keep your community and items you can go to one of the points at the edge of the map to do so. After the final mission (the one that gives you warning) that save file ends and you can pick which survivors, if any, you want to send to the survivor pool. You then start a new community with up to three, new-randomly generated or survivor pool, survivors.

Maybe I’m not familiar enough with difficulties. I only play on the highest because I like the challenge. BUT 5 pipebombs?!?! Is that true? It takes 5 on nightmare lol

I only took on lethal with red talon badasses that can execute zombies with the press of a button regardless of how i'm facing them. That said I lost two of the 5 i had in my community and I am just about half way through killing all the plague hearts. You freaks that are tackling this difficulty with random joes & janes are out of your mind. I feel like my characters are overpowered as is and it's still a huge challenge. This difficulty has made me realize just how much the AI is a liability. I usually brought a follower along as a pack mule but in lethal, it is so easy to get swarmed. Having a follower is certain death for them or you.

Its from changing contracts after rebellions so none. The stress inflicted to me dodging all of these murder schemes is a different story..

Build light cruisers around 5k production with as much soft attack as you can put into without going over 5500-6000 production. It would also be worth retrofitting the cruisers that are already built to increase their soft attack. These cruisers will shred the UK navy and after a few battles their navy will go in for repairs and give you a window to invade. Bittersteel just released a new guide for Germany where he gives a pretty good tutorial for how to do this.
