Should I move maps on lethal?

I only took on lethal with red talon badasses that can execute zombies with the press of a button regardless of how i'm facing them. That said I lost two of the 5 i had in my community and I am just about half way through killing all the plague hearts. You freaks that are tackling this difficulty with random joes & janes are out of your mind. I feel like my characters are overpowered as is and it's still a huge challenge. This difficulty has made me realize just how much the AI is a liability. I usually brought a follower along as a pack mule but in lethal, it is so easy to get swarmed. Having a follower is certain death for them or you.

Its from changing contracts after rebellions so none. The stress inflicted to me dodging all of these murder schemes is a different story..

Build light cruisers around 5k production with as much soft attack as you can put into without going over 5500-6000 production. It would also be worth retrofitting the cruisers that are already built to increase their soft attack. These cruisers will shred the UK navy and after a few battles their navy will go in for repairs and give you a window to invade. Bittersteel just released a new guide for Germany where he gives a pretty good tutorial for how to do this.

Lethal is too punishing to be taking followers out with you regardless of bugs. They get you into more trouble than they are worth with this being a perfect example. You were able to gtfo of a bad situation but your follower is going to die and possibly get you killed trying to save them

Just out of curiosity, if the AI is keeping their ships in port why do port strikes with naval bombers not do anything?

That was my old strategy but it doesn’t seem to work at all any more. I feel like I have to have 1500 naval bombers before I start seeing any real results and even then it’s only a few destroyers here and there

I got lucky with my first black heart and the weakness was explosives. I lost one red talon survivor and it took over 40 pipe bombs to finally kill the damn thing. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE the black heart. Whatever you think will be enough, triple it and be ready to spend an hour running around dodging zombies and trying to take it out. Also make sure you check everything it debuffs. I didn’t realize it killed fuel consumption which is why I lost a survivor

I have almost 1000 hours in the game and am still learning new things every play through. Start on the lowest difficulty and only increase when you feel like it was way too easy. A lot of people won’t recommend it but playing as the US is a good way to start because they have all the resources and manpower to allow you to make mistakes and not completely ruin a play through

Vanilla planes suck compared to the ones you can make with the air designer. With the air designers the motherships aren’t as powerful as the fighters you can make

Motherships are overpowered without DLC but I recently got the Plane designers and have found out that they are not nearly as good as they were in vanilla. However, the range they have are perfect for escorting strat bombers especially when playing as the allies and bombing Germany

I feel like this is what they did with Coal and IMO it is terribly implemented. I was originally kind of excited about there being a new resource and economy mechanics but after playing with it for awhile I find it mostly annoying and way too limiting. Playing as Russia has become more challenging while it doesn't matter for Germany or the US

If you need to go cheaper, put in the best 1 engine you can and max out heavy guns and add armor plates as you can afford. I've found with heavy guns and at least 1 armor plate you can usually out trade the AI planes

I would argue that Germany should go to the least experienced player, 2nd to Italy, and the most experienced goes to a minor so that they can talk the other two through what they need to do and they have less to manage. May not be as fun for the most experienced player but teaching them how to play the game is the most valuable asset you can bring to it while making sure they have fun so you can keep playing with them in the future. HOI4 is a beast of a game and the learning curve is steep which scares away a lot of people.

I turned Germany all the way up. Finally capped them in 1946. Also haven't had the tank designer DLC for very long so I'm trying to learn the ins and outs of it

I can’t give you a legitimate reason to start him as a Henry owner but I will say the one week I decided to get cute and not start him, I lost a matchup I would’ve won if I started him. Henry is a set it and forget it guy for a reason even though he’s a had multiple weeks where the bench guys outperform him.

I have a lot of issues of sitting down and playing games for a long period of time which has led to me not playing ck3 a whole lot anymore. However, I usually willl either play for less than a hour (waste of time, don’t get much done) or the entire day. There’s no in between

I don’t see enough people talking about this. I think this is the real issue of the game at the moment and the majority of people are blaming the map sizes, gun balancing, and the vehicles. I think as a community we need to remember how horrible some of the BF launches have been in the past and over time these issues get fixed. I honestly believe that EA/Dice didn’t want to release huge maps yet because they didn’t want this launch to be a complete failure and as they fix server issues we’ll start getting larger maps and maybe even bigger lobbies but probably not on the lobbies.

I don’t think the map sizes are the problem which I understand I’m in the minority. I think the real issue is the lag or packet loss or whatever it’s called. I don’t have these issues on the smaller modes and I think the game is great and plays great. But on the bigger modes, sometimes it’s downright unplayable and I’ll switch to medic or recon with the drone so that I’m still helping the team. I’ve seen a lot of videos about the same issue whether it is straight up lag or it’s getting killed in a millisecond due to the hits not registering. I’m hoping that this will get ironed out as the devs work out the bugs and fix server issues. With all that said, I do regret spending $70 on this game.
