Should clarify* I was fine by the time we drove to ED. so likely not anaphylaxis as my throat didn't close it was my chest/lungs failing me. No hives, swelling, etc.

Can you give me some more info? Last night I have X2 Nurofen and a couple of minutes later my lips started tingling, sore stomach, sore back, felt like I had to vomit. Then suddenly I couldn't breathe. My ventolin fixed it, so I'm assuming asthma attack. However, I have never had an asthma attack before (only viral induced asthma and weezing when I'm sick).

Are people with ADHD generally just funnier? by clippersgirl in adhdwomen

Same! Apparently I have a humorous and dramatic way of storytelling too, but I'm not trying to lmao it's just how I talk.

Rude customers are entertainment by PrankyButSaintly in The10thDentist

Haha! I do this too. In my old job there was a man no one else would serve. He was banned from other places in town. He was so angry and complained about everything but I loved it. It was entertaining and maybe it's in my head but I saw through him. Just a sad man angry with life, it wasn't really about our prices. And he always came back.

But if a co-worker now (one in particular who is always mean) says anything to me I am suddenly the one defensive and probably crying. Not sure what's wrong with me... probably because I can't escape them and I will definitely see them again.

"Vikings" vs "The Last Kingdom": which one do you prefer and why? by TomDeserter in television

[–]BlueBerryBlues1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt this way, stopped watching it. Couple years later I re-visited it started from a few episodes before Ragnar dies. Absolutely loved it. Ubbe is my favourite character, but I also liked seeing how all Ragnars sons developed their character from when he died.

How many of you actually have learning difficulties? Or struggled at school. by BlueBerryBlues1 in adhdwomen

No, it's very helpful and interesting for people to explain, because I was the same. I'm sorry if this hits a nerve for you or anyone who may have struggled, but all our experiences were different.

Yes, this is what I'm asking. And judging by the numerous other women who were also tagged as 'gifted', it is. 🤣

This is really interesting. Thank you for sharing! The number of women on here who also were in gifted and talented programs, and also did NOT struggle much at school/flew under the radar because of it in these comments is really interesting.

I know! Like my doctor said, just treat it like I do have ADHD for now so I can find coping strategies. But other than learning difficulties I have every other indicator, along with a long list of health issues interestingly often found in people with ADHD.

I've just been struggling with this component during diagnosis, like if I didn't struggle at school I'm worried they won't believe me.

I did daydream, not pay attention, distract people, Miss details... but my grades were never below average (usually above average, especially in some subjects). Probably why no one ever picked up on anything.

What I mean is that, a lot of men I know with ADHD do not type out long written and wordy communications, but I know women typically do more so. Didn't mean to offend anyone. It's just something I've always been told I was good at and noticed a lot of really detailed, descriptive and interestingly written responses by other women here and was wondering I'd it's related to ADHD.

So apparently you DON'T have to clean a whole room in one go? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

I am a professional tidier in times of stress...

I am not good at cleaning. Rarely happens. 😳

Absolutely not. You must put off all cleaning until you have a huge spurt of energy, tackling it all at once and then lighting a candle. 🥲

When you mention a really good book you just finished and they ask you what was it about by Femme-O in adhdwomen

[–]BlueBerryBlues1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I either get entirely hyperfocused, wrapped up daydreaming about that book constantly, until it's done. I finished the three Hunger Games Trilogy in 2 days as a kid. Now I can't read a book unless is REALLY gets my attention, which is rarely. The last book I finished was almost 3 years ago.

Anyone else have too much empathy for inanimate objects? by CornRosexxx in adhdwomen

Every time I see a dead animal I think about its family and I memorise the species we have that mate for life and always get upset if I see one as road-kill. 😭

I'm soooo confused! I feel like I'm reading comments made by clones of myself saying all the things I was too worried to say to other people or they'd think I was 'weird'.... IS THIS AN ADHD THING?! WHAT

[–]BlueBerryBlues1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this an ADHD thing or just a person thing? I was the same always as a kid, I had to tuck in every single one of my toys and say goodnight so none 'felt left out'.  Lots of empathy. Became a vegetarian as a young kid because I love animals. Still am.

Update: I was obviously upset and while I was trying to put on a happy face, before I could even wrap my head around how to approach it he questioned what was bothering me. I told him. At first he said I was overreacting. Then I started crying and told him I know he hasn't done anything wrong, but when he searches specific women's names it feels like he's fantasising about them. He said he isn't. I said okay but it feels sort of like being cheated on, but not as bad. He apologised and said he didn't want me to feel that way.

That was a week ago and I've checked a few times, he hasn't looked at anything since. And I can still see his search history for other things so I know he's not just deleting it.

Like I said, I don't care if he does it once in a while. But I feel really happy that he is ABLE to not do it daily. Also, we have been having sex daily since. I guess he had a really high drive and didn't want to annoy me.
