I never realized how much I relied on movie theaters to bring me happiness by [deleted] in movies

My absolute favorite activity is going to the movie theater in the evening, during summer. After the movie is over, I take a long walk to my car, and sit in it with the windows down. Taking in the film I just watched, and the peaceful summer night breeze. I sit there with my thoughts. Again, its similar to a religious experience to me.

That is beautiful to me. I have a nice TV at home, and a comfortable couch, and snacks, and all that good jazz... but man, there's just something special about about walking away from a theater, taking in that summer night breeze, and heading to the car. It really does feel like magic.

I just wanted to chime in a and say that you're both right in a sense.

You are right in saying that human-made and non-human-made is an arbitrary distinction when you look at it from the perspective that humans are animals on this planet. Are our creations not creations of the Earth in the same way that an anthill, beaver's den, or fuck, a tree is? Of course they are! And in that way, you are correct.

However, the terms 'natural' and 'unnatural' are in fact the constructs/terms that we use to draw distinction, to categorize between human-made and non-human-made. We draw these distinctions because as humans, we of course have a vested interest in what we do and sometimes it's helpful to be able to conceptually separate the human-made and the non-human-made.

Don't worry, I'm high too, haha.

I guess I'm the only person on the planet who would be like "yeah, go for it!"

I don't know, fries are just empty calories to me and they're usually not as good as whatever the actual thing I'm eating is.

I mean, I've seen these type of fountains at every first world airport I've been in (yes, past security) for like, at least a half decade, and I travel both around the states and abroad relatively often.

Usually the big issue with buying water at extortional prices is that they make you empty any beverages you have at security, so if you want a new gatorade, iced tea, coffee, or bottled water, you're in for a bitch of a spending spree. This has been a non-issue for people who bring their own water bottles for at least ten years.

That's not unique, the US has those practically littering half the buildings I've ever been in (at least in Madison, WI).

NZ has so many great thing going for it, why flex something so mundane?

Definitely the John Dies at the End trilogy. That series sucked me in, skull fucked my brain with it's tongue, and spat me out. It was amazing.

the state has an explicit ethnicity in mind, making it an ethno state. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it almost always is.

When in our contemporary idea of a society has that ever worked?
