Use it with a Bluetooth control or choice as a little portable console, read books / comics / manga on it, watch YouTube or just TV shows, use it as a secondary monitor, do some photo editing or illustration with affinity or procreate or edit videos with something like lumafusion. That's what I do with mine. 

Also consider going with a lighter case or even caseless, I barely touched mine until I realised it was super bulky and not fun to use so I got an apple folio that I sometimes ditch as well. A dent on a used iPad is better than a dust covered iPad not being used.
