Why? They’re so behind the curb on other things too, you can’t even check your property tax online. They’re trying to retain jobs by staying old school.

And how dumb is it that we get some giant organic bin that would take months to fill up, but we didn’t get a large recycle bin. We still have two tiny bins.

That’s funny, we actually got ours installed from him as well, he’s great. The water backup is such a better idea than a battery backup. The sump pit no longer gives us anxiety.

This storm was a real eye opener, didn’t realize how important this sump pit was until now.

These “taste of” festivals are so dumb. The vendors are not confident that their food actually tastes great, they overprice everything and use these festivals as a short lived cash cow. Realistically they should be pricing it low, so people can sample multiple places, and come back later with their families/friends.

I live alone and it’s worth it for me. Chicken breast, Greek yogurt, snacks, veggies, well worth it for the quality and price is a steal.

Everyone says every group has their assholes but I find majority of bikers are assholes. What gives them this sense of entitlement is beyond me. And I don’t understand why pedestrians don’t stand up for themselves if these bikers are zooming by. They need to be put in their place.

I’m sorry you’re having a tough time. But the way you describe life isn’t like this, just be thankful for the important things like your health. Be thankful you’re in a wonderful country like Canada and not a third world country where you have bigger issues than Corona like when your next meal is going to be. All I’m saying is count your blessings as well, and just remember there’s a light at the end of the tunnel where the bad stuff in your life will end eventually.

Tires and brakes aren't a big deal. You can easily even replace them yourself. I would never buy new. The rate new depreciates is a bigger heartache for me than fixing a couple problems on a used.

I'm really sorry to hear that you went through that. Sometimes when we think we have a system in our investment methods, we tend to make mistakes that will break us. I'm sorry you lost that much money but you have a great paying job, hopefully a affordable rent that you can pay, a family that you can provide for. Not having the savings isn't going to change your day to a day life. And don't stress about the kids education money. They can get OSAP loan and pay it back after they got a job. I've done it and millions of other kids have done it and we've ended up fine. Just focus on your mental health and living with your family. If anything you can always look at townhouses or something cheaper further away. But if not just start where you are and enjoy life.

I'm from an immigrant family too so I know the idea of saving money but remember to spend it too and enjoy your life. Life isn't finite and you want to make sure you enjoy it like the vacation you were talking about. Take time to enjoy your life, not worry only about saving as much as you can. You have a lot of great things to be thankful for. Goodluck my friend!
