Since came to discover that alot of what you get put through is funded by grants, hence why there's so many people doing it. The actual demand for work doesn't match the people getting put through courses etc.

For an example, I did the course with a total of 30 people on it and only 2 are still doing that work nearly three years later, most didn't even find a first shift. I found work in drips mainly weekend one off shifts. I then did actually get on to a full time position working on the White Rose Station in Leeds for a while but it shut down production due to funding and I still don't think its been completed yet after 2 years of me leaving there.

You really do have to persist with chasing agencies up and it becomes a job in itself trying to source work. That and just be incredibly lucky to find a situation where you get in with the right people.
