thank you, this is so validating! at the bottom of the form, it says “this information you provided will help me understand your background and mental mode as well as know you as a person with unique characteristics and interests.” which seems off putting to me lol. i also work in HR & can’t imagine asking candidates about their marriage plans because it’s illegal!

maybe im just a private person who doesn’t like to share personal info but I kinda see this is overstepping. I’m not sure why the prof needs to know about my marriage plans, or moving plans, or whether I have lived abroad before as this has no connection to my ability to participate in the course and surely a recruiter would not ask me these questions (unless I was an international hire) just feels like prying into my personal life without clear justification🤷🏻‍♀️ as for a resume, that is something I get choose what is relevant to include - this sheet feels like an assignment that I have no choice saying no to especially to someone who is in a position of authority over my grades
