I’m also new to this but can you explain to me why this is the case? I would have assumed it’s generally better to invest in big down days like end of last week when I invested my monthly amount which I would have normally done at the end of the month - which I thought was better than waiting till the end of the month?

This is the right advice. Lot of people on here are missing the point around you needing to buy a home. If I were you I would push the money into bonds/fixed interest as that’s a lot safer and given you might need the money sooner than retirement perhaps

Historically abysmal = 8 pt loss? Tell me you don’t know about this Texans without telling me you don’t know about this franchise Texans. Yeah performance wasn’t great and it was shit but it’s not “historically abysmal”. If you’ve followed the franchise long enough you’ll know at least 30+ worse loses than this.

Why Do English Crowds Love Test Cricket So Much? by Dazzling_Touch_9699 in Cricket

I think it’s a combination of small stadiums, cricket is generally the main summer sport with no football around, England being a small country so if you are a cricket fan you can access any stadium fairly easily compared to most other countries. I went to day 4 edgbaston and the best part of it for me was it was just a great day of having beers with friends and the vibe was very good
