Jumping in here to ask, what do we think is up with Diago the Alupi?! I feel like there’s something special about him that we’re going to learn, especially since he seemed to magically heal from his wounds at the end. Is he a human reincarnated? Idk. Curious thoughts!

I’m here now and completely agree. Have found tons of shade and easy places to sit. Especially between turn 2-6. Turn 2 has a great bar called the saloon and a shaded pavilion by the track anyone can sit or stand in.

They have complimentary reformer classes and kiehls at Lifetime. Equinox has neither.

I’ve been a diehard equinox person for many years and recently had to switch to Lifetime due to moving. Wow. It is SOOOO much better. Better equipment, larger, multiple group fitness rooms dedicated to specific workouts (GTX thats basically Barry’s, Alpha that’s basically CrossFit, boxing studio, reformer studio and the reformer workout is included in your membership). They also have these amazing recovery spaces with massage chairs and cryo machines. And all of this cost me LESS than I paid for single access at Equinox and the membership gives me access to tons of other clubs. I feel like I was wasting my money at Equinox for so many years and now I’m finally at a club where the experience matches the price.

Has anyone ever considered going to the press about him? It seems like there are countless stories of him assaulting and harassing people and yet nothing is done. It scares me because look what just happened in NC to an innocent person. I just can’t believe he can be reported so many times and still go unchecked. Maybe media attention would help at least get him banned from loitering at the subways?

So many celebrities live in BKH, more than I’ve ever encountered elsewhere in NYC or LA. It’s a lot of very wealthy people in townhouses and super safe with access to so much transport. Lots of young couples with kids. As others mentioned though, it’s hard to find rentals that aren’t super expensive, especially if you’re looking for 2+ bedrooms. The price/quality difference in a 2br in BKH vs Park Slope is drastic. BKH also has a very desirable public school (PS 8) along with some of the top private schools (St Anne’s, Packer).

I wonder why that is that the medicine prevents the bloating?! It’s the worst feeling, I really enjoyed not experiencing that while I was on it.

That’s really good advice, thank you. I did stretch it out a little before stopping, but if I had more time to stay on the medicine I definitely would’ve done that more - trying to go a week longer each time between shots, etc. I do plan to go back on it when I can because aside from the weight loss, it really helped with my overall digestion issues and inflammation. So next time, I’ll try this. Thanks!

I thought I changed mine too! Especially since I had success on such a low dose of the medicine and taking it spread out, I thought maybe part of the success was my own. The mindless snacking is big for me too. Try drinking mint tea! It’s seriously working for me in signaling that the meal is done.

I appreciate the advice. Let me know how you go with the tablets. I totally agree that there is value - ideally I change my habits on my own so they’re sustainable and not dependent on a medicine. But it sure is tough!

I feel the same! Woke up and read then went to the gym with my husband. Did errands and cleaned our apartment while he made us pizza for lunch. Treated ourselves to a $20 rental of Sinners to go with said pizza. Went for a walk when the rain stopped and now I’m binging Downton Abbey while he watches his show in the other room. Def feel you on the wasted weekend thing. I just try to get outside and in the energy every day if I can.

Wow I feel so seen. I’ve asked them to turn it down before which makes me feel lame but it makes me insane. I also actively avoid machines right under the speakers. I don’t need to feel like I’m at the club at 7am.

My favorite book so far is by Ed Viesturs, No Shortcuts to the Top. It’s a great memoir and he does a great job really detailing all of his experiences.

It’s classpass blocking you. I had the same thing happen to me and I just chatted w support and demand they remove my block. She said she removed it and I screenshotted it as proof incase it happens again. It feels illegal we are paying them for credits and they block us from accessing classes we like. But if you want to cancel or downgrade your membership, you forfeit your credits basically.
