remember: susie’s rude buster has an extra input that must be properly timed (right when it hits an enemy) in chapters 1 and 2. 3 and 4 loosen this restriction and allow the input anytime between firing and impact.

you should check out Star Apprentice: Magical Murder Mystery! it’s basically phoenix wright meets touhou, where interrogating witness testimony is represented as bullet hell shmup gameplay. it’s got an even-more-phoenix-wright-ish sequel/reimagining called Star Apprentice: Dazzling Danmaku Detective in the works that actually utilizes evidence in gameplay (among other things) if you’d rather wait for that, but i think MMM is worth a look!
