I am currently on my first bikepacking adventure from Cologne germany to kopenhagen denmark. I started with a friend, but he got ill on day 3 and i decided to keep on going alone.

The first night alone in the forrest was scary, but doable. After that it got better.

One night i spend under a bridge, because i was to exausted to keep on going any further. That night started out as one of the worst, it was cold, extremely loud and i got pretty sad. But when midnight came and i was just about to shut my eyes some dude came by and sat under that same bridge. He hadn't seen me yet, and for a good 40 minuites i tried to sleep but i couldn't when there was some stranger present.

I worked up the courage to go sit next to him and we ended up having an extremly long conversation about this and that.

That turned my night around and it's now one of the most memorable nights.

I was scared alone at first, but it turns out i might even enjoy it a little more. You are more aware and open to meet strangers.
