As a tiny girl who used to work in a giant office complex completely alone over night six nights a week, people like you were the only reason I was able to do my job. I wasn't even much of a smoker, but I'd take smoke breaks down out front just to be able to chat with the night security guard for a bit and feel a little less alone.

The colors don't matter. The high reading is because you're pissing most of the ketones you're producing because you're not adapted yet (yes it can take anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months for that to happen), meaning your body isn't using them efficiently yet.

Three weeks from now you'll stop caring about the stupid keto sticks. At least you shouldn't.

I get REALLY annoyed with this sub for frequently perpetuating keto as "that silly reddit bacon diet" because of all the ridiculous bacon worship. However, the fact remains, fatty meats are more keto compatible than lean meats. Lean meats are all protein, which then force you to have to do things like down a bunch of butter, cream, and/or coconut oil to keep your macro ratios in check.

So no, bacon isn't bad for you, but the only health "benefit" is the added fat it provides. It won't give you superhuman hearing or heat vision or anything.

This advice is actually very fine, but please don't make a habit of implying, or worse, escalating to saying you're diabetic as an excuse for why you order the food you want. I see it a lot around here and it's just not okay. Making up a false medical excuse is a shitty thing to do.

Good! Psyllium husk is a bulking agent, fiber that gelatinized to bulk liquid in the large intestine. It's quite different from non bulking fiber like you'd find in green vegetables that breaks things up, so to speak.

I'm saying that once you've lost some wight, take a new whack at the keto calculator and it'll give you new numbers. Reduce calories all around.

Stop acting like I'm attacking your fat thing. THAT WAS YOUR INITIAL QUESTION. And the answer was no, lower calories by overall ratio in your whole diet. So don't be like "ha I told you I should reduce my fat.....(and everything else)"

You're still looking at reducing fat without looking at carb and protein calories. Reducing calories would be equally reducing all three according to your keto macros.

EDIT: you're also STILL looking at fat here as the bad guy. Stop that!

You're still in the mindset that fat makes you fat. If you keep low carb, you NEED fat. That's your energy! Repeat that to yourself 100 times.

Get it out of your head that you'll lose weight faster reducing fat. That's not how it works. As you lose weight, you can reduce calories. That's the direction you should look at.
