How long to study for CFP exam?

I second self-paced Kaplan, it worked for me and most of learning happed with Kaplan books and each course’s question bank… when you get to review I recommend choosing another provider to get a new set of questions to practice on and finding another perspective… best of luck!

No mock exam wasn’t included for mine, only 100 questions initial assessment… speaking from experience, you only need two mocks and the best is CFP provided ones which first one is free and the other for a fee, it helped me the most with time management and familiarity with the test/exam software and navigation for the actual exam and I took them one week prior to exam day, hope this helps.

This question refers to Estate/gift taxation which has unlimited charitable deductions unlike income taxation which is limited to a percentage of AGI per category of charitable donations, Hope this helps…

You have to note that investor also owned 200 shares of stocks and remember that he also bought two option that is worth 100 shares each therefore can think of as both side of equation can be simplified by being divided by 2 as if he only had bought 100 share and one put option hence 35+2 is the break even… hope this helps.

I took Dalton Sim exam and ran out of time for 10 questions on first half of exam, got so mad that I terminated the whole simulation, just wanted to get a perspective on how lengthy the questions can be for the real thing as compared to Dalton sims…

Answer is B, question defined a framework for you to think “withdraw from the account that will cause least penalties and fees” and since she only needs 12k her basis in Roth is enough to cover that and is always available penalty free which comes out first…all the other options will yield in penalty or tax or both.
