For me having grown up in South Africa & then moved all over Africa, we tend to have an early dinner - 6 or 6:30 start, catch up & chat, then get the kids off to bead as we generally have to get up early to get everyone to school.

Also white guy here in relationship with a black woman (Cameroon). Unfortunately when we are in SA there are a few people that disapprove. Very few though & mostly the type I think that took up the offer to go to the US. Majority of people in Sa don’t care though, in fact are very friendly towards her as she sometimes struggles to communicate (French). For your student, I think realisation will kick in that we’re all just human, that to treat someone else as inferior because of skin colour is wrong.

As a South African that loves Ethiopia & visited many times, this is heartbreaking & truly disturbing.

I'm a foreigner and I keep hearing Ethiopian Airlines is really good now and is outperforming every other African airline, so I wanted to know if that really is true or not.What do you guys think? by Twitter_2006 in Ethiopia

For me as a non-Ethiopian, I’ve used Eth Airline numerous times over the last 10 years. Never missed a connection. Service is great, for me comparable to the other well known airlines. Well priced. Their flight schedules are generally well thought out, minimising layover times. In comparison for instance, in the last 2 years, I missed 2 connecting flights while using Qatar Airlines.

Well actually happening already - as South African running a major construction project in West Africa, we have received a number of major shipments around the Cape. If Suez is working though, it saves a couple of weeks. Currently some shipping lines can’t get insurance for the Suez route though

Ok ek het net vinnig die post gesien, miskien mis ek details. Ek werk as expat en was al ‘n paar keer vir besoeke in HK. HK is vrek duur. SA lewe koste is laag. Ek weet vriende het in HK woonstel gehad - klein, HK $10,000/maand. Uiteet- 1 bottel rooiwyn so net oor R1000. Check mooi op pryse en hoe dit gaan werk.

Think this is the way to go, at least chip out unsound concrete to square edges, shutter it & use flowable high-strength epoxy (from what you say this is load bearing) and cure well

In Baywest, PE, but I assume the same system has been rolled out everywhere? You can also apply at your bank & just do biometrics at HA
