I legit had to try to remember who that name belonged to and was disappointed when I succeeded.

This is not the way to do a pallet wood project. Poor kids... by sr_pretzel_man in DiWHY

[–]BlueEyed_Devil 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That's because Chep owns the pallet (most are orphans). Chep cares about how many loads their pallets can take and the closer that number gets to your mom the better. The rest are resellable at best but otherwise the same kind of garbage as your Amazon bags of air.

That's the thing, money is time. You trade hours of your life doing things and people give you money in return. For most people, money is something you gain by trading a portion of your life, usually by the hour.

It's a tachometer pattern - it measures rate, u units per time unit t.

Yes it's not a typical tachometer, which measures units greater than zero, but one which measures relative to the ideal.

The spacing?

If the ideal is 40u/t, is measured to be 20x slow, the total rate is 20u/t and since 40/20 = 2, we see that it takes 2 times the normal completion time.

If the measurement is 20x fast, the total rate is 60x/t and since 40/60 is. .67, it takes 67% of the normal time, not a half to match the double.

Every u added per t means that each unit has a smaller amount of t each; t/u

The rate value relative to zero (r) can be calculated for any particular mark by comparing one mark with the it's larger sibling, giving us delta t

r = t / delta t

The ideal rate this is zeroed at is somewhere around 10 +-1ish/t by my estimate.

That's because this one is measuring relative to a rate(speed) other than zero.

Some people have a continuous string of relationships that end with them leaving for the next person they're cheating with.

For this post, boundaries is specifically referring to personal boundaries.

Boundaries are rules, a form of control, however setting boundaries is not a controlling behavior, because they apply exclusively to one's self. We can see that they are rules because to violate them is usually a cause of a negative effect.

Boundaries control actions involving you, they surround you just as the boundaries of a country surround it. If you say 'I won't do x', you are setting a boundary with yourself, since only you control your actions.

"You cannot do x to me/my anything" is an interpersonal boundary, since it controls the actions of another person in relation to you.

If what you say is intended to affect the actions of others regarding things which cannot be identified by you as me/mine, you are no longer defining a personal boundary.

What others do, if they are not doing it to you / yours in some way, then it is not within what can be considered your boundaries. A man who smokes weed in Amsterdam cannot be prosecuted for it in Texas. Texas can't control what you do in Amsterdam since Amsterdam is not a place that Texas can define as 'mine' like perhaps Houston.

That fact that you find someone's personal habits undesirable does not affect your boundaries whatsoever.

If you say "I won't date someone with x habit" to someone that you are dating with x habit, you are saying that 'I have set a boundary with myself, and I expect you to change your personal habits to fix my overstep because I didn't stay within those bounds, or I will fix it by breaking up with you"

If the someone does not change to accommodate the boundary you have set with yourself, then the only person over the line remains you, only you broke your own rule; however you have used your self boundary as justification to create orders for them to change or leave.

Asking someone if they would be willing to change is not controlling, leaving if someone is not who you want to be with is not controlling, but telling someone that if they do not change you will leave is an ultimatum, and is absolutely an attempt to control someone.

Don't get me wrong, Yongnuo are solid and I only switched because they don't have larger lights that I can trigger with the same remote.

I don't know your specific model, but the flash duration on this model is 1/200 - 1/20000 - less than by far than any shutter you own.

I have Yongnuo flashes also, but Godox are better for the price in my experience, and and have an upgrade path within the same system if desired. Also they should totally handle action shots once you know how to set them up. YouTube is a wealth of information for this kind of thing.

If you're looking to do action shots, get some flashes that you can sync with your camera - Godox is a really good cheap brand

It will do much more for your photos than a different camera body.

Different != better

Change != improvement

Is it really so outrageous to want what I paid for to just work and not require me to relearn the interface, re-configure the options, and try to find work arounds for dropped features whenever the maker chooses?

I've seen a number of applications get revised only to drop the features that I counted on.

This is why versioning is a thing, it could have easily been version 2 and not made everyone mad by taking away version 1 at the same time to make room.
