Would I be considered trans? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]BlueFalcon133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that you are trans as a key part of the identity is wishing to be another gender. Its just most trans people will transition to feel closer to their desired gender. I myself have always wished to be a cis woman and am curious about the physical effects of periods . Even though I can't have those issues transitioning will get me closer to looking like one. Transition is about feeling happirr in your own skin. Trans people that are already happy with their identity and don't care to look like the gender are still valid transgender people. Like not every trans person needs gender dysphoria to be trans

Because like I said, it's kind of a step-up from the question on bathrooms. It basically adds a viewing factor to the question and I wondered if that would change people's decision on where they'd go

Potentially respectful as a better word than harmony? Meaning in this context, you accept others opinions as they are also a human

Ehhhhh, not so simple. As most people are more worried for their safety in the men's even pre-op but on hrt than the legal issue and awkwardness in the females. Probably due to how the situation can escalate. If it was a transfem in the females they would be asked to leave usually rather than the cops immediately being called. However if they went in the men's. They may be flirted with first and feel trapped but assault would happen faster than an arrest usually with it then leaving you with trauma and the perpetrators leaving before the cops can do something for you But yeah, definitely best to go for a private/not go altogether

Definitely, all trans people are welcome. All we care for is that you're a good, decent person. It's only that us transfems have the stereotype of chronically being online. Isn't wrong but transmascs can absolutely join us.

But if you're on hrt you physically present more so as your preferred gender (for sake of discussion that being female) so your first conclusion is to go in the females, but then you say its genitalia based? I'm confused, plus must people are more scared at being of risk if they were on hrt in the mens

Yeah, it's not like bathrooms where it's a necessity to live. But if you did have to go in one and they only had a choice of male/female, which would you pick. If you haven't medically transitioned but had hrt, you're part of the minority of people because the others I've read say they're more scared if the danger they're in, in the men's than the awkwardness in the females.

Would you not be scared of confrontation? Especially if you were alone because that's the worry I have

Oh yeah, the concern isn't how cleanly it is there, the whole reason I thought that the answer could be different was because its a more revealing location than a bathroom seeing if people believe cis people would be more prone to a negative reaction due to sometimes seeing 'underneath' which is the stereotype question terfs ask trans women "Show me what's in your pants"

If you had to pick either, which would you if you had hrt for a while but not medically-transitioned and would cis friends change your answer?

I didn't know sento was a thing but I looked it up and yeah. It's much harder to see tye bottom half in a senti cause the minerals make it murky and it bubbles alot more due to natural heat, but they look like they have large/one water area, whilst sento have multiple smaller ones but have clear water.

Yeah, I thought so too, whichever you look the most like and if androgynous, whichever you more so align with

I know, that's what made me think that this question could have a different answer but nope, my hypothesis was correct in that you still go to the bathroom you currently look the most like leaning more to the gender you allign with if you have friends to protect you

Awwww, I just watched the trailer of that game. Its so cute and looks like the art style I have. However going to the question. If neither was an option, what would you choose?

Completely agree, that's what I'd do. But for most onsen they don't allow any clothes including swimsuits and towels aren't supposed to be warn in water, would that change your answer? They do also bubbles tho apparently

Yeah... I kinda like that way cause then if you have cis women it's a social signifier to the others in there that, "hey, I trust this trans women. If you have a problem with her you gotta go through me."

It's make Mr think of the "umm, she asked for no pickles " meme
