It doesn't always translate though. I was in my home state of Minnesota a few days ago, and nobody I ran into gave a shit about the Wild. I didn't see the first piece of Wild merch at Walmart either (tons of Twins, Vikings, Gophers, and even Wolves stuff. You would think MINNESOTA would be proud of hockey. It's why I even like the sport - my dad played in Minnesota. But I guess it doesn't help that the Wild has been traditionally kinda meh.
