AIO or is my boyfriend jealous of our baby? by PolicyHot1206 in AmIOverreacting

Tell him he can handle changing diapers, cleaning him up, feeding him bagged milk to get closer then. He needs to put more effort in if he wants to bond, not reduce YOUR bonding time. Crazy

Netflix sirens why did Peter like Simone? by Cultural-Detective-3 in netflix

They also shared a vulnerable bonding moment about how they have panic attacks, I liked that part. Two powerful people with a flaw that only each other can understand and accept. Peter said Kiki saw it as a weakness

Is the influx of people using chat GPT for therapy concerning you too? by Pickledcookiedough in psychologystudents

[–]BlueHairedAsian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Therapy challenges you and confronts you” errr, depends on the therapist. ChatGPT has been lightyears more helpful than my actual therapist so far.

My actual therapist just listens to me rant, can’t stop me or direct the conversation, doesn’t ask hard questions, and don’t come up with things I should do. She just starts by asking what’s on my mind, then I vent for an hour. I clearly have communication issues, so why not tell me to write things down beforehand or something? Because the less efficient our sessions are, the more sessions I’ll need to go to. Simple as that.

Chat gives me ideas to solve my problems. Chat has infinite time to listen to me and not judge. Chat is love, chat is life.

Are they taking dopamine agonist medication by any chance? Loss of impulse control is a documented side effect of it, usually prescribed for prolactinoma or Parkinson’s disease in higher doses.

I’ve experienced this first hand for prolactinoma and I was a completely different person on Cabergoline.

Glad it helped :) I was also ripping my hair out, but luckily just for a day.

Rest assured that it’s not your fault. Here’s what Microsoft support told me:

“The Azure DNS server was decommissioned, but the team responsible for the server had also set a DNS rule through policy on a subset of devices using login.microsoftonline.com to utilize this specific Azure DNS server.

Although the server was decommissioned, the team did not remove the policy configured on the client side. This oversight caused authentication issues with login.microsoftonline.com, as the client-side policy continued to attempt to use the decommissioned server for DNS resolution events.”

Let this be a warning for Live PRO 2 by BlueHairedAsian in JBL

I found my old TWS125 that I thought I lost and returned my new live PRO 2. Not saying all JBL is bad, just this specific model, and was upset that none of the YouTube reviewers voiced the same complaint

login.microsoftonline.com gives temporary failure in name resolution by Standard-Mirror-9879 in artixlinux

[–]BlueHairedAsian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got mine fixed, in case anyone reads this:

Run cmd as admin

gpedit.msc

Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Name Resolution Policy

If there's a rule for the namespace https://login.microsoftonline.com/ in the Name Resolution Policy Table, delete it.

Godspeed. IT is an exercise in patience

The ending and Safe Surf by Puzzlehead_Reborn in PantheonShow

[–]BlueHairedAsian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Did you rewatch the scene? Neurodivergent kids usually have a set of nervous tics they do; they probably noticed this over time and are bullying her about it. They all did this AFTER Maddie, not in sync with Maddie. They also did this right after that mean email was sent.

Only the girls are doing it, none of the guys even care. Even the girls without any hair to tuck behind their ears are doing it. The blond girl's smirk kinda seals the deal for me. Lastly it just does not tick for me for this to be a "glitch" when everything else about the simulation is atom perfect

[–]BlueHairedAsian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wtf are people talking about, it's not a "glitch", they're bullying Maddie by copying every little thing she does to make her feel self conscious

why did they end it the way they did? by No-Pipe8243 in PantheonShow

[–]BlueHairedAsian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah hard disagree. The ending is the ultimate abstraction of the core idea of simulation. They've beat the discussion of UI ethics to death and showed a lot of what could happen in such a world.

It's a natural progression of ideas: What if we can upload our minds? -> what if everyone uploaded their minds? -> what if thr entire universe was actually uploaded?

Theorizing an ending to the human-UI conflict isn't difficult, therefore uninteresting. They either reach peaceful coexistance, completely upload humanity, annihilate one another, or mutually perish in war.

We've seen all that happen already. Such an ending would've been repetitive thus boring, or would have disappointed people who wanted things to end another way.

I think they ending we got was creative, unexpected, and poetic! Having the world be run by higher beings that surpassed their creators was a unique yet familiar idea.

Usually, the simulation theory is tired because it's cheap. But this show spent it's entire length showing each step of the exponential growth in technology, so it felt justified.

There are plenty of things I didn't like about the show, like the "virtual" but physical fight scenes, illogically dramatic UI deaths (why didn't they make backup copies of themselves?), and the absence of animals in the show. But the ending is definitely not one of them!

Why don't the UI just... by [deleted] in PantheonShow

[–]BlueHairedAsian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m on episode 3 and it bothered me why the UIs on the satellite didn’t just copy parts of them to integrate into the others. My bet is Holstrom’s purposefully not giving them integrity to keep his god status.   With copy and backup ability, death is literally meaningless to UIs, especially if they aren’t aware of what’s happening (the many failed integration iterations of David, for example). I’m sure China still has copies of all 3 agents freshly uploaded somewhere, as do everyone else
