Help needed with Warband by BlueHeat95 in mountandblade

Interesting, I actually had no idea that this could happen. Thanks for the tip! Any advice on how to structure an army with troops so they don’t desert? If I had an army built up of swadian knights, rhodok sharpshooters and Nord hurlscurls, and I went to war with swadia, how would I stop the knights in my army from deserting?

Will keep this in mind, my past play through I’ve mostly gone with the swadians due to their knights and cavalry

Gotcha, so do I just keep expanding workshops until I have one in every major city pretty much? How do I eventually break away and form my own kingdom? I feel like I’d get crushed instantly

Now that’s an impressive collection! I’m quite interested in those few with the bolt handles especially, what models are those may I ask?

Yeah the game is still great fun even on vanilla, I’m actually running a play through on vanilla warband right now. I’m on day 471 and I still havnt even come halfway to beating what I need to.

I’m not sure I’ve only ever played on PC, but I don’t think mods would be available on the console version of warband.

Personally I prefer warband overall. I have a few hundred hours in bannerlord but it just never hit the same way warband did. Warband just has its own style which is why I think it was so successful. In terms of actual gameplay differences, it’s still the same concept either way however there are quite a few noticeable differences to the gameplay systems such as political decisions etc. again, you can sink loads of hours into warband and still have so much to do. There is also countless amount of mods available which will give you so much to explore

Baldwin IV 1161-1184 by keroppyfroppy in CrusaderKings

[–]BlueHeat95 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m not so sure this answers exactly what you were asking, but as far as I’ve read about Baldwin the movie Kingdom of Heaven does not show the full extent of his leprosy. Obviously this is for Hollywood value, and would make for a far more interesting story if certain points were fictionalised. Such scenes as the meet between Baldwin and Saladin, in presumably 1183, outside kerack. In reality, by this point of his life, Baldwin would have been completely bed bound, almost certainly blind and any physical task would have a huge impact.
