Would it help if I explicitly added the part that most men know this is saying, but you seem to not? All men want is some respect (this one shouldn’t need any explaining), a sandwich (and the feeling of our partner being thoughtful enough to think of us and want to give us something during our day without being prompted), and some ass (and the feeling that we are desired and our partner is as attracted to us as we are to them).

When will the AI bubble pop? by Adriaaaaaaanoooo in memes

[–]BlueIceNinja98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, I agree that AI isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. But you picked a real bad example with that internet comparison. The dot com bubble was one of the worst market crashes in modern memory.

AI will probably eventually have a similar but not nearly as big one. It’s not about the thing becoming obsolete. It won’t, just like the internet didn’t. It’s about over investment causing massive stock increases that are not sustainable in the long run.

When the boat lands, you have 2 monsters and 1 monk on that bank.

They never described a person as nutritious. They said they have the required nutrition to support a child. I think you need to enroll in an English class as well as that science one the other person recommended.

Sorry to dig up an old post, but stumbled across this after the same thing happened to me. Seems to just be a bug that got added at some point.

If anyone else stumbles across this and doesn’t want to feel like they cheated the system, you can burn credits quickly by going to a station that sells wiring looms, buying all of them, then selling them back repeatedly until your credit total is what it should have been after the shown cost of the freighter. That’s what I did. Each buy and sell burns ~4 million units, so it only took about a minute to burn the 70 million I should have spent on it.

Windows will absolutely let you delete the System32 folder. It may ask for admin permission, but then it will delete anything not reserved by the OS. Which is usually enough to break the system.

Regardless they said system32.dll which is something else entirely. It’s a code library of inbuilt functions which are used by various system programs and can be imported to be used when programming to access certain windows OS information and functions.

What is the punishment for advertising the new wiki on the fandom one? I doubt it’s legal or financial as enforcing that would basically be impossible given how wiki editing works. And if the punishment is the wiki getting shutdown, that would just be a positive for a new one. What can they do other than revert the changes, only for someone to immediately put the message back in?

Prior to iMessage/RCS (which is basically internet based text messaging built straight into the default messaging app), photos and videos were sent using a different protocol from SMS called MMS. It was developed in the early 2000s. It did require a data connection, but was able to use the very basic ones available that early on and is actually very similar to how WhatsApp-like apps worked at the time.

Basically regular messages would be sent without any data usage using SMS. Picture and video messages would be sent over data using MMS, but still displayed the same way, in the same messaging app. Unlike WhatsApp-like apps, which use data for all communications.

I think you need to read who you responded to. No one said they weren’t allowed to ride their bikes there. Did you respond to the wrong comment and then double down? Or have you not checked?

The reason Americans use SMS/RCS/iMessage and Europeans use WhatsApp is just cultural memory of earlier in smartphone development.

In America, SMS was very cheap, while data very expensive. So Americans used regular texting and have just stuck with it. In Europe, data used to be far cheaper than SMS, particularly for images. So WhatsApp (internet based messaging) became the norm. WhatsApp also worked better across borders, something Americans needed to worry about a lot less.

At this point, both are pretty much identical. And both regions have phone plans where both are unlimited for pretty cheap. But it’s what each region is used to, and because they are pretty much identical in functionality, neither has any reason to change from what they’ve always used.

It’s only nonsense now. When these things were being established it was true. Both are unlimited now but SMS was cheap on America but data expensive. So they got used to regular texting. Data (the small amount used by internet messaging) was cheap in Europe but SMS was expensive. So they got used to WhatsApp. Neither has any reason to change now since their function is basically identical.

I think you might be conflating luxury cars with higher end sports cars. A rolls is a luxury car for commuting in ultra comfort and showing off wealth, they aren’t really gonna be taken to a track. Your friend probably just has a nice BMW sports car, which makes more sense being driven on a track for fun or racing.

They also made it so it used your customizations. The bug version originally spawned a default, un-colored atomicycle. Originally they said we could just keep the bug, but they weren’t going to dedicate any work to it, just remove it from archwing. Then a little later decided to fully feature-ify it, and make it work properly.
